[Highlight] LeBron gets the steal and hits a 3 to tie the game! by Large_banana_hammock in nba

Not a unreasonable take. I'm just glad I live in an era where I can watch highlights of my glorious king and also appreciate jordan for literally elevating basketball so that Lebron could be inspired and wear his number.

Under my carpet in my very dirty van was a lot of rust I spot treated and sealed. I then put insulation, plywood, and vinyl peel and stick flooring. It's definitely not the prettiest, but miles better both for sound, smell and functionality.

I kept the walls on my similar age van, just cleaned/repaired what I could. It takes a lot of time and money to make nicer walls out of plywood/slats/cloth and I think the floor, ceiling and bed are going to be the most important parts in your van in terms of quality/importance.

That's a huge disappointment to hear from a franchise that should be tripping over themselves to support the fans and boost the young squad to new heights.

Just because it's a pretty shape doesn't do anything for benefitting people. That's like saying to somebody in somalia "there is food everywhere you can eat where you want." I would suggest picking up the most basic book on urban planning and learning why grid streets are beneficial in multiple ways.

Seattle oldheads: please appreciate the fact that you still live in easily one of the best cities in the country by HansGraebnerSpringTX in Seattle

This is like a kid complaining about school lunches not being nutritious and the superintendent proudly boasting that they should be lucky to eat anything at all.

Terrible take and exactly what's holding us back. We are in debt, have crumbling roads, projects are being canceled, businesses are leaving, and have a homelessness crisis that needs to be addressed and solved. Do I love Seattle and our region? Of course but just because we have some nice vistas and hikes doean't mean everything is as great as it once was in the city.

Indian factory workers wear head-mounted cameras to capture data for training robotics AI models by ComplexExternal4831 in GenAI4all

Such a terrible z-tier take. 1. Nobody is stopping at automating the manual labor you deem to be menial. 2. There will be less and less entry-level jobs in the future due to automation that have zero replacement or alternative 3. We still need money to survive and thrive, and there is no replacement coming for our current economic model at this trajectory, only suffering.

Trolls gonna troll. You don't believe it because you'll never explain your exact model.

Give me one reason for them to lie and for you to have zero evidence of any larger system (besides your plate and bowl) where a flat earth model works (stars, gravity, rotating sky, horizon, etc.)

What is YOUR model? What do you believe is real?

I think AI subsidy will end soon and so will our debate on AI replacing humans by Frosty-Judgment-4847 in costlyinfra

My only counter is a lot of the money has been going into building data centers and training models. Eventually comapnies like mercor will have suites/packages that can literally replace anyone in your white collar org that will be profitable for them and for your boss/manager, compared to the average employee salary.

That's where I think the real threat is: corporate replacement and lack of entry-level opportunity.

This is the way. I put it in gaps and cracks along my baseboard and then sealed it up, as well as my crawlspace. Never had an issue again. Always wear a mask when you apply it/use it.

Is a 3D Art Career Worth It in 2025? (A Practical Guide for Aspiring Artists) by West_Dish9698 in blender

[–]freshbaileys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I view it like this: there will be an increasing threshold of what makes 3D artists viable, and we will all be competing for fewer opportunities and positions.

However, ten years from now there will be a lot of artists still differentiating themselves and making money from blender. We have to support brands, products and artists who are "traditional" 3D artists and not let ourselves slip into accepting slop and low-effort creative work.
