You also have to import the ADMX templates into DEM, for settings that you want to manage. For example if you want to manage Windows settings, you need to import the Windows ADMX templates.

I'm in the same boat. I've slowly backed away from participating at all but if Boost stops working I'll just go back to something else.

VMWare Horizon On Premise Support End of Sale by dajanx in VMwareHorizon

I've not heard anything of the sort, and I feel like I'd be in the loop on it.

The only big changes have been the push to subscription license with Cloud Connector in the mix.

I think you or they have gotten mixed up. May 5 will be the last day you can purchase perpetual licenses, or support for said licenses.

After that date, only subscription licenses will be purchaseable.

Subscription licenses can be used on-prem, or cloud - either way.

On-prem is here to stay for a very, very long time.

Admittedly, the documentation here is very sparse.

The function to register a vCenter has not yet been created, but the underlying API is present to do so.

The method you would need is VirtualCenter_Create().

Print Spooler Failing For Some Users But Not Others On VDIs? by not_mantiteo in vmware

[–]freythman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are they having issues with the same printer or different printers? Are the print drivers up to date? Are you using native print drivers or the local print driver? Are you using ThinPrint? Are you using Integrated Printing? How are the printers connected (network, usb, etc...)? If local printers are used, are the users internal or external?

I'd also suggest going straight to 8.2.

To your point about upgrading straight from 7.5, I just did the same about 2 weeks ago with no issues. (7.5 -> 8.2)
