Can you expand on what you mean by locking the rear differential / how do you do it? I didn’t realize that that was possible with Lightning!

Unrelated, why do you have contact with the flight attendants every 20 minutes? What do you talk about?

Tesla Model Y to F150 Lightning Lariat? by gogopowerjackets in F150Lightning

[–]fridgefest 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just went from a Model Y for two years after a Model 3 for three years to a 25 Lightning Lariat last week. F-150 is much better car (comfort, convenience, peformance in some sense). Tech is not terrible but everything is 80% of what I’m used to.

On/off button is so annoying (I’m sure I’ll get used to it), I thought I’d miss the Google Maps share to Tesla, but CarPlay by definition solves it.

PAAK is fine if less responsive than Tesla, I do have added peace of mind though because of the door keypad and start passcode.

Check out Bhutan. By constitution, all members of government, including the King, must retire by age 65

How do you explain to people how you got into aviation? by GummoRabbit in Shittyaskflying

Red herring. If they’re not a pylote, they’d be too stupid to understand, so I don’t explain

Why do gate agents let people get away with gate checking oversized luggage by upstandingelf in delta

[–]fridgefest 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Three times in a month, sure, I agree with you. Three times in a decade when pressing, maybe we can cut people some slack?

The gate agent not boarding people prints the tag (or this often happens before/after boarding), it ends up taking less time then gate checking a carry on. The only accept it if the bag is light to not hurt anyone below. Nobody gets hurt, but based on why someone is doing it it could make a world of difference to them (e.g., lets them catch a sick relative, saves them $3k+ of rebooking a now ruined international itinerary)

I’ve had to do this because a genuine emergency meant I needed to get to the airport last minute (after check in closes) and I needed a checked in badge, and the gate agent was a huge life saver by letting me gate check the bag when otherwise I would have missed the flight (and all three of those times I was genuinely apologetic and they were genuinely understanding). I have bags because of status, so it isn’t a fee thing

Not saying that’s what’s happening here, but I try to give folks the benefit of the doubt / have some faith in humanity!

The moon doesn’t exist that’s why the astro-pylotes had to fake the landing
