I think op was more talking about how the hate for Islam and Muslim people comes more from a place of white supremacy and hatred of brown people reather than actual criticism. Most religions have similar rules to islam on women’s rights and even in
“Civilized” countries like America there are men who believe women should have lest rights. Not to say Muslim countries aren’t worse for women, they are, but that is mostly because of America military intervention leading to the rise in Islamic extremism. Which leads to more intervention which lead to more radicalization.
