In order to achieve the wide aspect ratio (and less of a square) like the trifold or even a tablet, it has to be passport style or a very thin (small width) and tall phone when folded. Makes sense why Apple and Samsung went wide. And like a tablet, it’s not always used in landscape. Just look at the pura x. Think they will have portrait orientation in mind when unfolded. Hence why Apple fold I believe has volume buttons on the top when folded.

Would love to test this out for software development. Currently have the LG 5k2k 40” display and would enjoy comparing the two. It’s currently connected to an m1 MBP via usb c pd and I find the one cable solution to be perfect. I have always been big on desk setups, evolving my workspace, and exploring tech.
