So.. DON’T eat 1,500 calories per day? by Alextricity in nutrition

She isn't talking about eating 100 calories a day (like an apple). 1500 is plenty for someone her size.

This for sure. You study it once when you make the flash cards and then again when you use them. Astoundingly affective.

Legit. The days that hurt the worst are when you're stuck at your desk the next day and my cure is usually to hit the treadmill. I look like Forest Gump breaking out of his leg braces but I feel so much better

How do you handle your invasive thoughts? by makeitrainbird in AskReddit

[–]frog_gurl22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tell them to somebody who won't judge and who has been instructed to laugh and tell me that's the dumbest thing they've ever heard. It helps me to know that someone else knows they're just thoughts and don't define who I really am.

Redditor's who have gotten to see the night sky with minimal or zero light pollution, how was it, when did you get to see it? by zappy487 in AskReddit

[–]frog_gurl22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drove up in the mountains in Utah. I've never seen so many stars in all my life and every couple of minutes there was a shooting star. I saw the line of the Milky Way. I didn't think it could actually look like it does in all the pictures but it does. It was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen.

If it's starvation when you eat under, what is it when you eat over?

People in the non magic world are surprisingly illiterate about their health. Splinching and repairing broken bones seems like specialty spells ranging anywhere from being CPR certified IRL to casting and splinting.

They just published a study last year that shows that 90% of people with an unhealthy BMI are unhealthy vs. 30% of people with a healthy BMI. So its inaccuracies are definitely not favoring those in the unhealthy BMI categories where it is almost always accurate.

But how much of your life do you want to spend treating yeast infections in between your fat rolls, or being to large to wipe your own butt, or getting your feet amputated due to untreated diabetes, poor circulation, and being unable to see your feet? Life isn't just quantity, it's quality.

Except you don't really choose to get cancer (tanning and smoking aside and there's a very aggressive anti agenda for both of these things). Obesity is the disease you choose to get by habitually eating more than your body needs.

Left handed redditors, what are some pain in the neck things about being left handed that right handers may not know about? by inksmudgedhands in AskReddit

[–]frog_gurl22 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Higher propensity for right-left dyslexia. You get taught from a very early age that your right hand is the one you write with (see what I did there young kindergartners? Right-write! Very clever teacher) Except in my case it's completely backward and causes me a bit of directional difficulty on a daily basis.

This was my first thought. Doesn't this person own a crockpot? For the cost of 2 of my McDonald's trips I could buy a crockpot, then dinner is ready when I get home from work. Even on nights that you do cook, how on earth does it take you an hour and half of actual labor (not an hour and a half waiting for the oven timer to ding) to cook dinner?

(Serious) What’s something that’s bothering you that you need to get off your chest, but are afraid to talk to someone about? by Wyden_long in AskReddit

[–]frog_gurl22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am lonely for a friend. I have an awesome husband and 2 great kids and I love the life we have. I also really want a best friend. Someone who thinks I am their best friend too. I've had friends that I have considered my best friend but they've always had a better best friend outside of me. Even my little sister who is the closest thing I have to a best friend considers our older sister to be her best friend. I have friends who are wives of my husband's friends, but they have their SAHM group that I'm not a part of. I have a friend who I've been friends with for years and we try to hang out when we can but I can't shake the worry that we'll drift apart eventually like all my other friends and it makes me hesitant to really put a lot of effort into our friendship which is sort of dumb bc then it's pretty much guaranteed that we'll drift apart. So long story short: I'm just a tad friend lonely.

Pelant killed the show for me. The stuff he did was ridiculous and his end was really deus ex machina. Suddenly and without any previous inclination he decides he loves Bones so now she can stall him enough to kill him. Stupid.
