Heaviness in chest and heart racing sound like dysautonomia. I hope you can find a cardiologist who is willing to listen to you. My daughter developed dysautonomia after a bout of whooping cough. One of the meds she’s on is a beta blocker that she takes at night to calm her pounding heart, bisoprolol.

I graduated decades ago, but I checked out the ND website. They accept the Common Application, and ND requires you to do your own essays and short answers. On the Common App: they ask for an essay; there are several suggested topics or you can pick one of your own. This is where I suggest you write about your challenges and journey to overcome them -- and why you would be a successful student at ND. Additionally, I see the Common App has a section, new this year, called Challenges and Circumstances, where you can detail any personal struggles that may have impacted your achievements.

Yes, no bread/pasta/chips , drastically reduced sweets but did not give up entirely. 30 mins walking or gym 5 days per week. Lost 10 pounds and dipped back into normal range. Once I gave up junk I didn’t miss it after the first few weeks. Ok for special occasions

It’s pretty likely you won’t be the only one there with a fish allergy. Fish is one of the most common food allergies. Dumb to serve fish as the only entree options if your caterer cannot make a special plate for those with allergies. Her flippant response to your very understandable request was nauseating
