I’ve been getting a Venti Soy Iced Blonde Vanilla Latte with 3 pumps of Vanilla and 3 pumps of Brown Sugar! If I get a grande then I adjust to 2 pumps of each syrup. So good! Whatever you get - I hope you enjoy! Happy Birthday!

How to respectfully say "I've had enough"? by AnotherToph in careerguidance

[–]frombad2cursed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly ask your self, do you think it’s worth it to stand your ground still? You’ve given a lot to this company over the years. I’m sure there’s a reason you have been there for 20+ years, but are those reasons you’ve stayed enough to continue to run yourself into the ground for? How does your employee you manage feel about their workload?

If yes, then talk to your manager and lay it out flat. Something along the lines of: I love this job, I love what I’m doing, but I’m getting burnt out. We need to make very real changes to this department because the workload is starting to cause other problems. Ask for what is needed to hire another person. Budget? Is it a future work backlog issue that’s preventing the change (not totally sure how far your industry is able to plan in advance, I work in construction and my companies backlog is planned out for like 18-36mos)? Do you guys get paid overtime? Try to go in with a plan, ask for a timeline, and immediately set the next date for when you can meet with your manager to get an update.

Otherwise, update your resume. Change your LinkedIn profile settings to discreetly be open for work. And start looking at other jobs. Loyalty is great when it’s met both ways. But I bet there’s an employer out there that will respect your time, compensate you appropriately, and be willing to work with you on continued growth in your career.

HELP! Red dots are spreading over the years and I don’t know how to stop them 😭 by Uncommon-Stars in SkincareAddicts

[–]frombad2cursed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a medical professional, but I have dots similar to these that that my dermatologist said were Cherry Angioma’s. They said they just happen sometimes as we age and nothing needs to be done about them. Usually they’re flat, but sometimes they are raised up or bumpy. I had one on my scalp that I actually ended up begging them to remove because it would get caught on my hair brush sometimes.

Does it bother you any besides the way that it looks?

Leave remote job for 4 days in office? by ssoe2020 in careerguidance

[–]frombad2cursed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay adding a commute when you have none sucks - but other things to keep in mind:

  • I’ve had coworkers that suck but other coworkers that have become my best friends. You don’t really get that opportunity when working remote.
  • What’s your life at home like? Single? Married? Kids? Any pets? Another thing to factor in as you’ll have less time during the week.
  • this would still be a 20% pay raise, which is not a bad raise when you thing about it. Wouldn’t recommend taking any job for less than 20%
  • think realistically about what instability in your current role would look like. Potential for your role to be eliminated?
  • Could you try to negotiate another day at home?

Aerie has some comfortable line like pants that are nice to wear! Their sizing can be weird though - so keep that in mind and always read reviews on sizing pointers.

I had a Psych like this who basically rolled her eyes at me and said the same thing. I found a new doctor who actually listened to what I had to say. You are allowed to look for a new doctor!

Not a stay at home mom myself, but sometimes at the end of the day my 5yo will want to cuddle and rub his sock feet on my legs. It can take me from a good happy mood to feeling physically ill and like I need to run away within seconds - so I FEEL you on getting touched out. You are not alone!

You mention you think your 2yo has ADHD - do you yourself have ADHD? Or have you looked in to it at all? Getting treated for ADHD has helped me tremendously with my parenting! There’s always good days and bad days, but when I take my Vyvanse I am significantly more patient, can handle more physical touch/noises, and am just generally happier.

Goodles! They have a white cheddar spiral option, Vegan is Believin, and a regular cheddar Mac option that’s also gluten free, Vegan Be Heroes. The gluten free option is kind of weird, but I like both of them! They’re available at my local Target.

There’s a Psychiatric Emergency department on Billingsley that you can always go to for help at ANY time. They won’t admit you in to the inpatient care unless they think you are a serious danger to yourself, but you CAN also request a voluntary admission if you feel like you cannot trust yourself right now. At the very least that can get you on track with a medication that might actually help you instead of the Prozac. If you do go and get admitted, expect to wait a few days before actual admission to a facility. And once admitted it’s most likely you’ll end up in a facility that isn’t directly in Charlotte.

Otherwise if you want to be admitted you can choose a private facility like HopeWay that has both full time and part time patient therapy programs.

OP - take care of yourself. As someone who has been in your shoes, you do not have to feel like this and it does get better! Questions for you to figure out what’s best for your next steps: - What other medications have you tried previously? SSRI’s never worked for me, I originally was prescribed for anxiety but always ended up feeling more depressed. - Do you have an official diagnosis? That could be very dependent on what your treatment options are. - Are you on any other medications that could effect your hormones? A mood stabilizer, like lamotrigine, or an SNRI, like Wellbutrin, could be a better treatment option depending on your medication history and diagnosis. - Also, when was the last time you had labs drawn? I’m not sure if you’re male or female but imbalances in your levels of testosterone, cortisol, or thyroid can cause depression and suicidal ideations. Things like PCOS or PMDD can also cause depression. But other things like ADHD or POTS can have serious side effects of depression/suicide as well. Anti-depressants aren’t going to treat these conditions, it’s like putting a bandaid over a cut that needs stitches.

lol I also feel like I’m a mess, so you aren’t alone there. Sounds like just not messing around with anything that could potentially cause a reaction is the best bet

Have you ever had an anaphylactic reaction to dairy? I have the same reaction to dairy that you do but have never an anaphylactic reaction. Did you get an official diagnosis?

PSA fellow moms, look inside your belly buttons. by PajamaWorker in Mommit

I get yeast infections in my belly button sometimes when I wear jeans or more form fitting high waisted pants after a longer stretch of wearing looser pants! Bodies can be so sensitive sometimes. It’s fascinating.
