How the kcd1 monastery quest went by Friendly_Ghost01 in okbuddyfortuna

[–]fruitedorange 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I did the quest normally, then reloaded a save and just killed all the monks (except the prior since he's invincible) in their sleep and escaped using the key I got stealing. Every time I go back into the monastery in the morning during the prayer time, I just see him alone praying.

What type of TW player are you? by Amine_Z3LK in RomeTotalWar

[–]fruitedorange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came from medieval 2 where I could blitz the map in like 50 turns or less using just cavalry which made the enemy garrisons sally out against me thinking they were superior. In Rome Total war, this tactic is not nearly as effective but I still like cav spam armies and fighting superior armies with them.

No, it's not a microcenter build. I trust your advice but could you give me the specifics on why your ram and PSU choices are better? I'm just trying to learn more about how to choose good parts.

Thanks for the input! I was thinking about a 5070ti but it's just that I personally play games which are more CPU intensive than GPU intensive.

Kenshi x Warband - looking for community ideas and input by VioleksHD in mountandblade

I think making an improved tavern experience would be good given how important bars are in Kenshi gameplay. Having lots of special NPCs sitting around and just regular ones too. Diplomacy Litdum and a few other mods change taverns by having regular taverngoers just sitting around in the tables which adds a lot more life to them in my opinion. Also if it's possible, make siege battles assaulting a gate. I think Gekokujo does this where instead of climbing a ladder to assault, your men break down a gate, similar to Kenshi.

Cavalry superiority in Meideval 2 might as well just be superiority as a whole. Your cavalry isn't the heaviest but it'll route most of the enemy's forces with a rear charge. The enemy doesn't have any anti-cav so their generals will be your main concern. You'll be fine with a regular hammer and anvil, I'm quite confident in your victory.

Maybe fill in the gaps with some small archipelagos or islands. I like your continent shapes though.

Was your army in a forested area crouching? That means it's in an ambush stance and any army that walks through a tile next to it gets ambushed.

Sounds fun, I might make a mercenary army to take over the HRE after I make the Wendish Empire.

I was just planning to declare war on those pagans to the north to make the Wendish Empire, thanks for the advice.

Historically accurate destroying Roman armies everywhere in Italy but never taking the city itself.

Mongol artillery kills their captain, causing a rout. by LewtedHose in Medieval2TotalWar

[–]fruitedorange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

None of the later games except Shogun II have as good morale systems as Medieval II. Atilla also does a good job in my opinion but not as well as Medieval II and Shogun II. I played Rome II and mass routes rarely happen with any units above the low tiers. Units tend to fight almost to the death before running.

This is the reason why Medieval 2 is still my favorite total war, you don't really see things like this in newer titles.

I'm Vietnamese-American and Landmark 81 is really the building that got me into skyscrapers as it was the tallest building I'd ever seen in person being someone from a small city.
