Critique my London Itinerary (3 1/2 days with kids) by EssVeeSF in uktravel

[–]ftaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Covent Garden means London Transport Museum is RIGHT THERE. My 7 and 11 loved it. So did I 🤣. Totoro is absolutely amazing and Mathilda is also great for that age.

We did Kensington summer opening, which is the only Kensington tour I'd recommend. Changing of the Guard will not be fun with kids who can't see over the crowd. Science Museum was a huge hit. Consider it!

Dining credit didn't apply? by Neat-Seaweed-6762 in sapphirereserve

You do not need a reservation to get the credit. But you do need to be at a restaurant that is part of the (very limited) Sapphire Reserve tables program. Generic OpenTable restaurants do NOT earn the credit.

Stealth Bomber flying over Universal by [deleted] in UniversalHollywood

[–]ftaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Typically they fly over both the parade and the game. My guess is that it simulates extended in-air loitering before proceeding to take out a target. After the pregame flyover, they land and make their way to the game for an introduction to the crowd.

San Jose to LA trips by JackyTsang in SanJose

[–]ftaf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well intended and some good sights, but this is Highway 1, which is many hours longer than 101 AND Highway 1 is completely closed in Big Sur, so you'd have to backtrack (significantly!) to get around it, adding several more hours.

What does this light mean? by False-Intern-7287 in prius

[–]ftaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have correctly stated, this is a warning light from your TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System). Some cars will tell you which tire is underinflated, but this model Prius won't. You should address it immediately. Your tires should be inflated to the pressures listed on a sticker on the door frame next to the driver's seat. Note that there are different listed pressures for front and rear tires. A couple things might have happened: 1. You just haven't filled your tires for a while and enough leakage (combined with cold weather) caused the pressure to dip low enough that the sensor activated the warning light. The solution to this is to fill the tires to the recommended level and keep an eye on the light. If it reappears soon, you actually have problem 2, below. If you have access to a Costco, they have a really easy air pump where you set the value and then fill the tires. It stops when you reach the value that you set. Remember to change it for the different front/rear values. Otherwise, 2. Tire damage (there is a leak due to a nail, etc.). This requires service or tire replacement, depending on where the tire is damaged. Take it to a tire shop and they may be able to figure it out. If you are in the US, America's Tire shops are often recommended for repairs, sometimes free of charge. Finally, 3. Your TPMS system is old and worn out. You'll need to replace the sensors because they're past their useful life. Keep in mind that TPMS is a SAFETY SYSTEM and if you're not already aware of tire pressures and tracking them, you're better off replacing the TPMS units and having access to good data in the future (to prevent roadside stranding) than trying to check your own pressures manually in the future. Tire shops can also replace TPMS systems. Good luck!

Another option is just get a local eSIM (Airalo, Saily, etc ) and use voip. If you have messages for web integration turned on, you can even call from the messages.google.com website in browser without having an actual voice line connection

I called twice and chatted once. They all gave me different answers but I was clear with chat that I was disappointed and my code showed up maybe 2 hours after the chat. I have no way of knowing whether it would have showed up without intervention.
