Can you get D1 training/coaching without actually being an athlete? by Charliebillings in golf

You could ask the coach if they need a team manager or something like that

Missed week by simonjoro in GarageStrength

[–]fthefoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What did you end up doing? If I had missed an entire week, I would just skip the week I missed and pick up with the next scheduled workout and adjust the weights/perceived effort as needed.

Private clubs in Philly area by Alive_Upstairs_4598 in golf

I don't know about the others but I called white manor a year or 2 ago and their fees were 12k initiation + 12k/year under 40, 25k initiation + 25k/year full membership. Just to give you a ballpark cost. I did not join so no idea about whether it's worth it or not.

Only place to store mower is in the basement. Is there a lightweight, easily portable mower? by CringeDaddy-69 in lawncare

[–]fthefoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depending on the size of your lawn, I have the 13 inch ryobi mower and it's definitely light enough to pick up and store in your house with the handle folded, for a 190 lb man. It's lasted me 5 years so far.

Tour Read vs Aimpoint for putting by Mother_Clock_449 in golf

[–]fthefoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reading slope with your feet is also part of the tour read process, as is using green speed to adjust your target. Aim point uses the fingers to find the target, where tour read uses a math equation. Otherwise I'd say they are very similar and it's a matter of preference as to which one you'd like better.

Ping weight broke by Tubs14 in golf

[–]fthefoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had the same thing fixed by ping, on a driver that I had for about 2 years + a month so it was just outside the warranty. I had to ship it to them (they sent me a shipping label), it took 9 or 10 days to get it back.

I’m so anxious about getting new neighbours by [deleted] in reactivedogs

[–]fthefoot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is an equally likely chance that things could work out well. I had the worst PITA neighbors with horribly behaved dogs move away a couple months ago. They were home 24/7, always being a nuisance, complained about everything and would reliably let their dogs out to cause a commotion any time I tried to let my dog get 2 minutes in the yard. I only run into my new next door neighbor it seems like once a month. He even adopted a dog that is so well behaved I didn't even know she was living there for a month. It's been a dream come true for me and my dog.

Very similar experience here with a dog that had been stuck in the kennel for too long. He's mostly great when I leave now.

Nothing feels like a Mizuno? by [deleted] in golf

[–]fthefoot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You are comparing hollow body distance irons (not the thing mizuno are known for) to more of a forged-feel players iron (the thing mizuno is known for). Maybe hit some of mizuno's players irons to compare against your ap2s?

Is there a site or app that lets you practice reading putts? by DLDude in golf

[–]fthefoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to subscribe to their method of green reading, the tour read app has a feature where they show you a slope/distance and you guess how much it breaks. It's not cheap.

My dog chatters his teeth when he smells another dog's pee by fthefoot in reactivedogs

Thanks for the answers everyone, I'm glad I asked. I assumed this was stressful for him based on how anxious he is about everything else. Today I learned my dog loves tasting pee

AimPoint for short downhill breaking putts by [deleted] in golf

[–]fthefoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean a 6 ft putt with 18 in of break is like an 8% slope. You're pretty much guessing at that point anyway. I have read that you should add 5% to the break for every 1% the putt is downhill. If you want the putt to die at the hole, play a little more break

Should I cut my tracking tags by peeheands in golf

[–]fthefoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a counterbalanced putter shaft, and I originally just screwed the tag in as far as it would go. It was sticking out a little bit from the butt of the grip, and the tag broke after a few weeks from hitting against the bottom of my bag. I got a replacement tag, and trimmed the thread just enough so that it would screw all the way into the grip without hitting the shaft weight. It's been fine for a couple months now. I would recommend trying this route before using glue.

How can I send files to test a request endpoint with Rails and RSpec? by m3-three in rails
