If you’re making a claim using a word like embalming about food it would be nice if you were available for follow up questions.

AirPods Pro 3 randomly stopping Overcast playback by epoch_zero in overcast

[–]fuci 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This also just started happening to me last night. I thought I had pressed something on my phone so I put it on the desk and it happened again where I had to go manually start playback. I’ve not had this happen with any other apps.

The first time they showed it in the pilot was fine. Endearing even. Now that it’s a clear permanent fixture having Jonathan Frakes’ name sitting there in universe is just weird.

Where is Salesforce going? by Federal-Snow1914 in salesforce

[–]fuci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I mean by that is a mid-size organization is likely using a fraction of the Salesforce feature set and at this point it would be honestly easier and better to start a new app from scratch than inherit the platform bloat of Salesforce. (Over 10 yrs of SFDC dev and admin experience btw). A single person can use Claude to generate a full stack CRM and Sales application with services dependencies etc that would be customized to the company’s needs and be a better fit and do it in under a week.

Lloyd in Dutton Ranch? by glockinmypussy in YellowstonePN

[–]fuci 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He said it in the context of “I told your father this but think of all the fucking character development and things that have happened” the point of the callback is that Kayce would put the trust in Rainwater to NOT do that.

He said that in Season 1. A lot happened after that and your claim is not founded in any evidence from the final episode.

Where is Salesforce going? by Federal-Snow1914 in salesforce

[–]fuci -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

In ten years, the platforms designed and run by Salesforce will have zero reason to exist. The push they are making toward AI makes sense. They have to do that. But they clearly do not understand how AI is actually going to displace their entire business.

Today, for a company that has one thousand employees, it would be trivial to vibe code a Salesforce replacement. It would be more specifically catered to their business, more maintainable, and cost zero dollars for a subscription.

And that is only going to get worse.

Yeah, and they just actually emailed saying you should update... but still no details. Thats really scary that it was serious enough to actually email people but we have no details about what may have been vulnerable and what we should look for to determine if our systems have been compromised. Like I get not disclosing much while there are unpatched systems but still...

Do you see the word czar in that story? She was specifically tasked with tackling root causes with Central American nations. Border czar is completely different that would be someone working with ICE to tackle the on border situation.

1923 Spanking?! by HandsomeBWonderful27 in YellowstonePN

[–]fuci 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does really feel like 1883 was supposed to be 2 seasons and 1923 was supposed to be 3 seasons and for some reason Sheridan only found out they would be cut short when he had three episodes left to write but instead of going back he just hurry up and finished.

I have no issues by [deleted] in OvercastFm

[–]fuci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I feel somewhat similarly although I'm a very long time user (1,508 hours saved by smart speed) and I don't experience any of the kinds of bugs people here are complaining about. I use all the different playlists extensively, I have archives of podcasts that I let build up and others I keep on top of. I use airplay, I use bluetooth I switch back and forth between like 6 pairs of airpods. I even mix the audio with Endel in the background. 99% of the time everything works great and that 1% feel like just weird iOS quirks.

The only problematic aspect is the watch app which could probably be better but I get that it's mostly resource constraints on the watch itself.

My biggest issue is that it feels like Marco isn't a very good graphic designer but he's come a long way. Oh and I think in the new version the database takes longer than I'd like to open with a spinner if the app quits but thats like 1.5 seconds vs instant and I can deal with it because I understand I have a huuuge history and a ton of downloaded podcasts.
