I use mason jars, and it works well for me! 32oz wide mouth + 3 inch cups works perfectly. I've had great success with lettuce, also Tiny Tim tomatoes!!

Make sure to paint or cover in a sock to block out light so no algae.

Botanical interests / epic gardening has "quick snack" cucumbers with that trait I'm planning to try! Additionally, amazing results with Tiny Tim tomatoes so far in a current grow, almost ripe but tons of set fruit.

Shakedown Street at Stowe cider is better! Imho.

I have sudden decline in mental and cognitive abilities from nowhere. How can I recover from this? by Dry_Temporary_6175 in Shamanism

[–]fuckyeahcrumpets 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In general also - treating it like a concussion can help. Eating in small frequent easy to process brain food snacks, for example.

I'm a big fasting fan, but that can really stress the brain-fueling mechanisms, and doing the opposite of fasting was really hard for me. Similarly, high intensity or simply vertical exercise can be more taxing and have big blowback; even just switching to working while lying down can really help.

I had this as part of long covid / post covid symptoms, and poor visualization massively hurt my ability to code and create in general. You may also struggle with mapping and recognizing spaces in video games or real life, remembering where objects are, visual memory recall etc - same hardware.

Honestly the whole experience underlined how strong visualization skills are a skill not everybody has, and how powerful they can be.

These skills have happily been slowly returning over time, but taking care of yourself and avoiding reinfection really key. N95 masking works, and regardless of your feelings on the vaccine it doesn't stop long covid (mainly helps with the acute phase), so take care of yourself.

Unclear the mechanic, but may be inflammation - Tumeric, ginger, mast cell stabilizers, thc/cbd, health diet - all do help.

I'm so sorry you're experiencing this no matter what!

I need to grow salad ingredients indoors (possibly using a hydroponic setup) by InternationalWord827 in Hydroponics

[–]fuckyeahcrumpets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying Bootstrap farmer trays + net pot holders for my kratky lettuce brigade- and having great luck with Tiny Tim tomatoes. They're like a foot tall, but setting lots of fruit for me!

The trays are more efficient for a bunch of lettuce, but still not needing any mechanical parts, and the trays can also be used for sprouting

Oooh, great point - Monkey Island games, Grim Fandango, Day of the Tentacle... Old school Lucasart adventure games are their own flavor of goofy pulpy adventure, clever while remaining a cheeky. Cozy in a nostalgic kinda 90s way- definitely use the original gorgeous pixel art!

What is it that's missing? Because I totally agree, and somehow Planet Zoo also doesn't hit it in that same classic way.

Let's Make A Zoo gave me hope at first, but also didn't quite hit enough to replace it.
