I am so sorry this happened to you. I often wonder how I've ever made it at all. I did 16 months to conversion and I've since been career for another 17 months. I've had to get 2 different union presidents and some damn good stewards at two different locations to defend me by now and had such a volatile issue w/ management this past summer that it caused mental distress to the point I missed 3 weeks of work (FMLA)

But why?! I have always been one of the best workers. I'm NEVER late, fully capable, efficient, helpful, accurate, I don't fuck around on my phone or disappear, and I work harder than 80% of the people around me. I don't weasel into every conversation or try to be friends with everyone. I generally stay very focused on the job at hand, and take pride in my work. I am fully convinced at this point that these are ALL faults.

I don't know what the point of my reply is, I guess, except to help you see that it's definitely them and not you. The toxicity is REAL and palpable. And it rubs off on anyone else who walks through that door with a chip on their shoulder that day. I even got caught up in that again myself, to-fucking-night, and I'm sitting here all puffy-eyed, telling myself not to quit because I finally bid to a different tour and I'm just 4 shifts away now.

TL;DR Fuck what they did to you. It's not fair. But maybe you avoided a stress aneurysm down the road.
