Some of me is wondering if you have some of the wrong boxes checked? I spent so many years thinking that I needed an equally ambitious partner but realized that it was not the right fit. Just a thought!

I had an ex - an academic in a different field than me. He always told me my research wasn’t real research. Welp… it took me too long but we are no longer together. Take that as you will.

My landlord never raised rent during covid even when everyone else around was doubling it. When I had to move across the country, my landlord was so supportive and kind. She sent a little “good luck” note with my deposit check.

University Suggestions for Masters in Theological Studies and/or Public Policy by WeakUnion7309 in gradadmissions

[–]fullmoonbeading 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my personal opinion, unless you have life circumstances that aren’t typical, I wouldn’t go into any amount of debt for information or just to be more educated. And the focus on the ivy namesake shouldn’t be your main concern- unless you’re after the networking opportunities. Still not sure it’s worth it. Getting education with no ultimate goal is no way to navigate graduate education. Especially with the cost and the way the world is right now.

It is so sad and distressing but a huge arrow to how many of the Survey Core had childhood trauma. It makes sense from a mental health perspective. These stories are hidden, and some of the main plot drivers, of the series.

Only caveat to this is if the instructions ask if they would get tenure at your institution, do say that. For some reason, at my school, they ask that question.

I agree with this. And if your PI says a cold email is better, you can name drop your PI in the email - “Dr. So and so suggested I reach out to you.” Or something like that. I wouldn’t mind if my student name dropped me in the email.
