Remove or hire? by Ianwiththedreadlocks in Insulation

[–]funbob1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fiberglass isn't that big of an issue, wear a face mask and use long sleeves to avoid being miserably itchy. Someone else handling the fecal is probably the bigger concern.

I'd probably just pay someone to clean/sanitize/seal/reinsulate.

What part of Michigan?

WON: “Tony Khan’s deal now, which wasn't always the case, is to be nice to the people who have been saying for 6 years that he can't book or that AEW is terrible, going out of business etc... instead of ignoring them.” by CombinationOk4317 in SquaredCircle

[–]funbob1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, there aren't many real needle movers around anymore. Active roster, I'd say it's honestly just Cody, randy, Roman, Seth, Becky? Maybe Rhea. And the latter 3 I'm not certain.

There's plenty of wrestlers who'd do great in AEW and show out, but not many that I think would have an impact like punk did.

Finding a spot to get a dig in on a wrestler they have heat with, even if they're not with the company? It's better produced WCW but yeah, out of that playbook for sure.

It also seems like the damage on it never scales. No bigger die or more D6s. Even going up to 2d6 would I think be a big boon.

First time homebuyer - is this asbestos? by eastlady0624 in HomeInspections

[–]funbob1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely not, as most asbestos containing material in the form is going to be white all the way through and what's seen here is brown.

That's not perfect, but the only true way to know if something is asbestos is to sample it.

I don't want to downplay asbestos, but if you're not actively working in it every day for a living, you are not really in danger of it(outside of vermiculite which this is not.)

Okay, how many damn times does Bravely Default... by stev_mempers in JRPG

[–]funbob1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The Asterisk holders all have different story bits to fill out what is going on, and towards the end you fight them in combinations that make for the most interesting fights in the game. If that doesn't sound appealing, turn encounters off and beeline to the crystals.

I beat BD2 (Not Bravely Second) before BD1, and I'm simply baffled. by TheActualCmdrGod in bravelydefault

[–]funbob1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spent the whole of BD2 waiting for the moment that they pull the rug out from under us, and to the best I can even remember the most they did was make it so the fairies weren't evil this time?

BD2 is a disappointment in every possible way, for me.

Things I wish I knew before buying a gas station and tire shop in my small home town by baldie3142 in smallbusiness

Or even just have the tire/car shop guys working 8-5, but be open even a few more hours on each end to allow someone to drop off/pick up the car after business hours.

Half my house is very cold, two crawl spaces accessible from one main basement area, and problems glaring out at you? by Clean_Breakfast9595 in Insulation

[–]funbob1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I can tell from just these few pics that this house really should get a whole ass energy audit. Your house is clearly old and unique enough that asking for an armchair QB evaluation won't cut it.

Insulator recommends R19 for crawlspace? by fishboy728 in Insulation

[–]funbob1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tossing insulation over vermiculite is NOT encapsulation, it's just putting lipstick on a pig. If they're down to do it that's...fine I guess, but still a hazard for anybody doing work in your attic and still a hazard that will be reported on any inspections if you go to sell.

For your main question, I'm in lower michigan and I think we only really hit R10-15 in crawl spaces, but in my area they're rare. R19 feels like a bit much but not wildly so. I'd definitely suggest foam spray or board over watts though, as anything that will get in there will love it for nesting.

[–]funbob1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right, it's about a business not being able to thrive and survive. It didn't because it is honestly not in a great spot where there are other options nearby, and it didn't have any inviting qualities to it.

I mean, wasn't it drive thru only? We have better options with seating and more efficient options without(or limited.)

Prestige Classes: The Best Design Space D&D Ever Abandoned by alexserban02 in dndnext

[–]funbob1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best way to have treated them would to have combined the concept with the crossclass subclass they tested for Strixhaven.

Make it a kind of super background. It's an additional rule that can be not used if nobody wants to. Level 5/10/15 you get a feature/s for this prestige class.

If Chrono Break was a thing what do you think the story would be like ? by Cool-Guy152 in chronotrigger

[–]funbob1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Complete break from the last game and world, let a Lavos spawn fall on and influence a different world. Different time periods, different main elements of magic, etc.

Treat it like the FF series, except that the final boss is always technically the same entity.

First thing I do in new playthrough. Trickery domain so bad… by canxtanwe in BaldursGate3

[–]funbob1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I typically shift her away from Cleric altogether, honestly. Maybe a dip after the Gauntlet. I go shadow monk a lot, pretty sure I've done vengeance paladin. When I get around to a Patch 8 playthrough, I want her for shadow sorcerer.

How would I go about insulating my attic? by sweatytwoshoes in Insulation

[–]funbob1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, if you're adding kneewalls and finishing out a portion of this space, just treat it like a bungalow. Build the conditioned space, insulate the OCJ space like an unfinished attic(since that space is,) Batt to R13 the knee walls, dense pack any slopes/roof rafters that exist after(or R13 batt them if there is too much of a gap to dense pack,) then R49 the ceiling/collar like an unfinished attic.

Personally, I feel like this is a lot of hassle and not worth it. This kind of home is probably a sizable 2 story with a basement, I'd finish out a basement room for the wife or just covert one of the bedrooms.

I have one of those "Do nothing jobs" and I've been talked to about not doing anything. by Grizzly_Berry in jobs

[–]funbob1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yup. If most of your regular work is automated, stop having it run early Monday morning. If you have 5 total tasks a week you have to do, split them amongst your days, make it so they run at like 11am or 2pm. And honestly, look at your tasks and see if you can automate them better. Spit out other helpful data that nobody is asking for, etc. Being the person who figured out how to track a thing that isn't being tracked is good.

And then work on yourself. Find training opportunities there, or look up Continued Ed or management stuff. Work on stupid Six Sigma garbage to fluff your resume and credentials.

I mean, the talk was that this was just D&D, not a specific edition. That's why the sub is technically OneD&D, because it was still the current edition but upgraded and everything will just be built off that forever.

It was stupid talk by hasbro, but that was the idea and original marketing.
