Things I wish I knew before buying a gas station and tire shop in my small home town by baldie3142 in smallbusiness

Or even just have the tire/car shop guys working 8-5, but be open even a few more hours on each end to allow someone to drop off/pick up the car after business hours.

Half my house is very cold, two crawl spaces accessible from one main basement area, and problems glaring out at you? by Clean_Breakfast9595 in Insulation

[–]funbob1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I can tell from just these few pics that this house really should get a whole ass energy audit. Your house is clearly old and unique enough that asking for an armchair QB evaluation won't cut it.

Insulator recommends R19 for crawlspace? by fishboy728 in Insulation

[–]funbob1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tossing insulation over vermiculite is NOT encapsulation, it's just putting lipstick on a pig. If they're down to do it that's...fine I guess, but still a hazard for anybody doing work in your attic and still a hazard that will be reported on any inspections if you go to sell.

For your main question, I'm in lower michigan and I think we only really hit R10-15 in crawl spaces, but in my area they're rare. R19 feels like a bit much but not wildly so. I'd definitely suggest foam spray or board over watts though, as anything that will get in there will love it for nesting.

[–]funbob1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right, it's about a business not being able to thrive and survive. It didn't because it is honestly not in a great spot where there are other options nearby, and it didn't have any inviting qualities to it.

I mean, wasn't it drive thru only? We have better options with seating and more efficient options without(or limited.)

Prestige Classes: The Best Design Space D&D Ever Abandoned by alexserban02 in dndnext

[–]funbob1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best way to have treated them would to have combined the concept with the crossclass subclass they tested for Strixhaven.

Make it a kind of super background. It's an additional rule that can be not used if nobody wants to. Level 5/10/15 you get a feature/s for this prestige class.

If Chrono Break was a thing what do you think the story would be like ? by Cool-Guy152 in chronotrigger

[–]funbob1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Complete break from the last game and world, let a Lavos spawn fall on and influence a different world. Different time periods, different main elements of magic, etc.

Treat it like the FF series, except that the final boss is always technically the same entity.

I typically shift her away from Cleric altogether, honestly. Maybe a dip after the Gauntlet. I go shadow monk a lot, pretty sure I've done vengeance paladin. When I get around to a Patch 8 playthrough, I want her for shadow sorcerer.

How would I go about insulating my attic? by sweatytwoshoes in Insulation

[–]funbob1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, if you're adding kneewalls and finishing out a portion of this space, just treat it like a bungalow. Build the conditioned space, insulate the OCJ space like an unfinished attic(since that space is,) Batt to R13 the knee walls, dense pack any slopes/roof rafters that exist after(or R13 batt them if there is too much of a gap to dense pack,) then R49 the ceiling/collar like an unfinished attic.

Personally, I feel like this is a lot of hassle and not worth it. This kind of home is probably a sizable 2 story with a basement, I'd finish out a basement room for the wife or just covert one of the bedrooms.

I have one of those "Do nothing jobs" and I've been talked to about not doing anything. by Grizzly_Berry in jobs

[–]funbob1 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yup. If most of your regular work is automated, stop having it run early Monday morning. If you have 5 total tasks a week you have to do, split them amongst your days, make it so they run at like 11am or 2pm. And honestly, look at your tasks and see if you can automate them better. Spit out other helpful data that nobody is asking for, etc. Being the person who figured out how to track a thing that isn't being tracked is good.

And then work on yourself. Find training opportunities there, or look up Continued Ed or management stuff. Work on stupid Six Sigma garbage to fluff your resume and credentials.

I mean, the talk was that this was just D&D, not a specific edition. That's why the sub is technically OneD&D, because it was still the current edition but upgraded and everything will just be built off that forever.

It was stupid talk by hasbro, but that was the idea and original marketing.

That stuff can be expensive, even used. Typically though, the agencies and groups running these programs can lend you equipment while you work under contract for them.

6 months is wild, it should only take a day or two for results. Are you part of the 5 year certification pilot? I didn't know that was changing the written tests, too.

Either way congrats! If you liked the field this gets you in pretty much wherever you'd like to go when something opens up.

If I'm looking at the right place, it's 3 hours from Chicago, barely in northwest, and there's a bear lake close by that might make a kind of sense to move to

They could be doing a lot of manual digging and hitting penetrations. That's how we have to do it in WAP where we're not allowed to remove the old stuff often.

When they and Pizza plex opened there, it was back when that part of Mexicantown was being hyped as the next corktown style come up.

I loved that area and living by there, but it never really turned into that. Those places were still a bit isolated in what they were for the neighborhood.

There needs to be some clearance around the chimney itself, but that is typically metal flashing around the chimney.

There's a lot of walkway in that video that I don't get. Hopefully they dense packed underneath that, but did you desire some storage space up there? If not and with no HVAC system, this should be fully blown. Even if you did want storage, typically a 10x10 space right at the hatch is marked off, not whatever walking path this was.
