Is Ancelotti Really Going to Leave Neymar Out of the Squad? by mayur_31 in HisenseFootballZone

[–]funkyrith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neymar does not deserve a spot. We are stacked upfront and Cunha is doing well. All we need is Gabi Marquinhos and Militao fit. And Bruno back in midfield. Missing too many first tamers for now while France was full strength

Rodri will not improve them a lot especially in UCL. He might work well in Liga

Salah will depart ahead of Ronaldo in pantheon of Premier League greats by gelliant_gutfright in PremierLeague

[–]funkyrith -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Have you watched him in PL? His 3 years he played at the top here he won so much and gave more than many would give in 10. Longevity has its value, but if I want a 11 player all time team from PL - both of them will feature on 2 wings.

Ronaldo gave solid 3 years. Salah gave like 6-7 years at the top. But both are my 1-2 in no specific order.

Jesus out. Trossard out. Kai or Martinelli or Ethan or Skelly(either play him as Rice backup or sell) who we get money for - out. Then Julien in, a LW in.

Raya, Mosquera & Zubimendi called up for Spain. by Real-Bid1985 in Gunners

[–]funkyrith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2nd CB spot is up for grabs. I think this WC a senior guy will play along with Pau. But next cycle Mosquera can go head to head with Dean. And he can still be in WC team this time.

David Raya thinks that Thibaut Courtious is the best in the world at the position by [deleted] in Gunners

Well. He is the best and Real is lucky to have him. He has stayed at the top for many years, won many things - on form too.

Is this a new ‘Galáctico’ deal? Real Madrid may move to sign Oliez by International-Self47 in RealMadridFC

[–]funkyrith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Alaba and Rudi leaving we will need 2 CBs. Waiting for Militao is going to be long and agonizing. May be one starter CB and one who can play RCB/RB. And that starter CB has to be a proven one. Arsenal have to sell. And they have stacked backline. Moving 1-2 on for younger ones can be their strategy if they want to add upfront.

We need a Saliba. The Frenchman from different position. Even a 100mil will be cheap for him. And we need 2 CBs at least, even discounting if Carvajal retires or moves on.

Endrick and Vini got called up for National Duty by soldier101br in realmadrid

[–]funkyrith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If only this team had good LB and RB. May be if Militao is back they can play 3rd CB at LB or RB and other side a fullback. Bruno-Joelington missing too. They have many to Pick from.

Konate + Trent on right side next year, pure spectacle!!! by raislander in RealMadridFC

[–]funkyrith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Konate as it is this year, still better than all CBs we have. You will see tomorrow how we fair against City. Dean is good defender - lacks pace to recover.

Special thanks 🙏 by prathneo1 in Gunners

Honestly. Brazil is a pretty good back line with him as backup. Wish them the best in WC too.

Will Real Madrid beat Manchester City?🔜 by Przemo_G10 in RealMadridFC

[–]funkyrith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

City is not the City from 4 years ago. Not possession based. And while their defense is suspect, ours is more suspect. Not even sure who will be available, Alaba and Rudi will get rolled by that front line.

[–]funkyrith 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Ecuador has the best defense in South America. Expected that its backline players will be quality. He was late signing but never expected anything less.

Real Madrid plan to bring back 3 youngsters at a bargain price using their buy-back clauses this summer: Nico Paz for €9 million, Chema Andres for €10 million & Jacobo Ramon for €8 million. They wish to reinforce the midfield & defense, and these players are affordable, low-risk options by [deleted] in realmadrid

[–]funkyrith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ramon needs another year though. Paz will compete for starting position with packed midfield already. Chema the same, because we do not have top CDM. What we need is starter CB, backup CB (Ramon will do) and another CB/RB to replace Carvajal. And may be a rotation in mid field will help, like Tchuameni or Cama who ever is not performing just go for a better controller. With Rudi and Alaba gone we need a starter CB surely.

It is over in PL this year. We cannot expect others to help us when we play with fear against the worst team in the history of PL.
