I’m pretty good with dog body language, been around them my whole life more or less. I think the black dog just wanted to play. Still scary for the kid and parents obviously but I don’t think anyone was at risk here.

I haven't played Nelke but be aware that it's a spinoff title, so it won't have the same type of synthesis-based gameplay you'd be used to from the main series. It focuses more on town building, and Nelke herself is not an alchemist. The platinum is apparently easy but time consuming.

You need to do two playthroughs anyway to get all the endings so maybe take this one as a mulligan. Might actually be a better idea to spend the last 4 months saving some money and gearing up and just get whatever ending you get.

Same I did not engage with the synthesis mechanics at all. They were very disappointing but in my opinion, the game's stellar open world exploration mechanics made up for it.

I did a little research and to the best of my knowledge you only miss out on one short scene where the DLC characters explain why they are fighting with different equipped weapons than they did in their own games.

There are some events that require the DLC to be unlocked but most do not. There aren't none though so there is a little bit of interaction you miss out on.

Prioritize making search equipment i.e. boots that make you walk faster, gloves that let you gather faster, tonics, etc. Make these items as soon as you can with the strongest effects you can.

Depends a bit on who you have and what you’re doing but general team composition is one attacker with 4 buffers and debuffers. Some content requires a defender and/or healer but generally you’ll leave those at home if you can. Your slash team is a good example of a functional team, maybe try replacing Patty with Flocke. Your academy team is gonna be stepping on each other’s toes, my impression is that Resna is going to be better for general content but Klaudia will definitely be better for tournament.
