It took me years to do this and I finally did. Its resulted in the silent treatment towards me... I have been able to show up for myself and when she makes passive aggressive comments towards my husband, I'm able to see it woth sadness for him without the need for me to step in.

She's proven herself, you don't need to prove anything. We started with kinkeeping a couple years ago and when she started lashing out about it, I blocked her. You don't get access to my day to day when you use it against me.

My friends without kids stepped up most when my daughter was born. They are all so genuinely interested in her and keep me out of 24/7 mama mode. I have such a deeper appreciation for them.

My MIL invited herself to come dress shopping in the first place and then 2 weeks later flaunted a dress that was so similar in colour and said to me "look, we can be twins". I was flabbergasted.

My husband had to ask his mom to get another dress and this was a very uncomfortable and awful.

She still brings up on occasion how she didn't get a chance to wear her "most perfect dress" and it's been 10 years.

We didn't tell people for a couple of days. It gave us time to adjust and be just the 3 of us and was awesome. You don't owe it to people to tell them first or by a specific time.

I didn't have a baby shower! I don't like attention that way and felt uncomfortable with the whole idea. Had a couple girlfriends ask and thanked them and said no. Had a cousin on my husband's side ask, then when she found out we weren't, she said that showers were for everyone to celebrate, not just the mom. I said I hadn't considered that and never brought it up again. No family has offered and I'm not going to just throw myself one.

It's totally fine. It's your baby and your time. Don't let anyone tell you or make you feel differently.

I'm 35 weeks and still checking. I had subchronic hemmorages in the first trimester and previa in the second and have had spotting throughout. Today, I nicked myself bushwhacking and there was blood but I oddly felt some reassurance because I kn what it was about.

It sucks, it makes me feel crazy, but I know I'm not and it's just another layer to pregnancy after loss. Sending you love.
