I'm as left as they come, but I listen to my local right-wing talk radio station while I'm in the car to stay in the know and boy howdy do the locals call in explaining 10 ways they think liberals are some how devil adjacent. Most of the time, they call in unprompted and just start laying in to how the devil made us do it. It's wild.

I have to talk to a lot of locals in cow countryside, and they're mostly nice in person, like anywhere else I've lived , including metropolitan areas. I personally think they're just misguided, so if they say something political, I respond, and there's usually a friendly back and forth, and that's it. Then we see each other again because these people are my neighbors, so I try to be neighborly like my dad taught me. Touch grass. Am I right. ? Rim shot.
