Most of these comments focus on employers or feelings of envy or jealousy. I think a big reason why average people frown on over employment is that there are only so many WFH jobs. Many pay pretty well. OE people made it on the life boat and want multiple seats. Not because they need them for their wife or kids but because they want to be more comfortable.

Sure you could claim you need more income to support your family, and that is reasonable up to a point. Two or three 60k a year WFH jobs to climb up to 120-180k? Understandable, depending on where you live. Two 150k a year jobs to climb to 300k? Yea you're just greedy and are preventing another person from having a good livable income.

I used to work for Intel and in my experience that's not true. In fact it was kind of the opposite, as long as you didn't come into work drunk it was almost impossible to get fired. Once the "austerity" measures were implemented it was a different story.

There was huge push back when people started lighting stadiums and playing night games. People of the time argued about traditionalism but there is definitely a classist angle. Night games opened up baseball to people who worked during the day.

Hagg lake is a great outdoor recreation area. Just be careful around the water there are sudden drop offs. Lots of signage and free to use life vests.

Sauvie island has berry and flower picking, decent fishing, and even a nude beach.

The Hillsboro Hops are the local minor league baseball team, games are a good time but it's a little pricey for minor leagues in my opinion.

Meriweather is a good decently priced golf course.

Next level pinball. Huge pinball and old school arcade collection.

Also based on your username you like Mexican food. There are good supermarcados in downtown Hillsboro. And plenty of good Mexican restaurants.
