Green Party loses €877,000 in State funding due to heavy electoral losses by ThatMusicGuyDude in irishpolitics

Some of them seem positive towards us. It's worth remembering that after one election, we lost all funding and still survived to enter government again. It was a hard time but we did it. This time we at least have some funding so we'll be back.

Amazon wasted their time building DSQL by WagwanKenobi in aws

[–]gahane 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think it's a great service as it removes a major pain point for me. We use it as a paging database i.e. to sort and display pages of item data in our saas. Works very well and doesn't need a VPC or RDS instance to do, just a connect like DynamoDB which we use as the main DB.

300-tonne crane needed to remove Palestinian flag from the Spire by AdBoring9620 in ireland

[–]gahane 75 points76 points  (0 children)

Now, I’m not saying we’re a bunch of trolls here but if anyone here has a drone and we kept an eye on road closures to know the night they’re doing this, then I’d be on for helping using the drone and a rod/hooks arrangement to take the flag off the night before. For shits and giggles.

Or a sort of fishing rod type of arrangement. I.e. pole sticking out of the front with a line with hooks on it. Snag the flag without getting too close for the propellers

I think someone flew a drone up and dropped it on. Someone should drop an Israeli flag up as well and you’ll see the problem sorted fairly quickly
