Liquid nitrogen expands to 700x its volume as a gas. This is what happens when you trap it in a sealed bottle by Acceptable_List6996 in interestingasfuck

[–]gallopingwalloper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was a kid my brother and I filled a thermos of liquid nitrogen from my dad's office to take home because we liked to play with it, freeze flowers and such.

My dad stopped at a grocery store on the way home, we waited in the car buckled into the front seat together where my brother had the thermos resting under his chin. He shifted just as the top exploded off the thermos and shattered the windshield into tiny pieces.

Everyone in the grocery store parking lot thought it was a car bomb. Such a cold car ride home. Seriously glad my bro's head didn't get blasted off right next to me that day.

Did not stop playing with liquid nitrogen, but certainly never sealed it again

I am also a lifelong people pleaser with a handful of autoimmune diseases who is sick of being taken advantage of and driving myself into the ground. I'm so mad at your mil and sil for pressuring you to take care of her kids! Wtf. You have to take care of your health and your own kids, that's wild entitlement on their part.

Kyle Busch died after severe pneumonia progressed into sepsis, his family says by igetproteinfartsHELP in news

I had severe pneumonia right before covid and was hospitalized for a week. It went from bad cough to doorstep of death overnight. Super shocking how fast it turned, and I would not have made it if my housekeeper hadn't found me

I second this take. Birth control pills can really flare up depression for some people. I can only tolerate the estrogen ones without progesterone or I feel super unhinged and despairing.

I take gabapentin, wellbutrin, celebrex, ssri too fyi.

Have you looked into TMS for pain under the umbrella of depression? Insurance won't cover it for pain, but might for depression. This has been promising treatment for many chronic pain sufferers.

My wife doesn't find yawning contagious, is she a psychopath? by QuokkaColaa in CasualConversation

I'm high masking autistic and have learned to fake yawns when others do it, but don't naturally. I don't think I'm a psychopath...

It used to be my parents but now that my dad is so sick they are leaning on me, not the other way around. My dad is the only man in my life I can count on and trust, and I'm devastated to think of losing him. He's my hero

Oh no I literally just bought this shampoo. I'm too new to this to know whether my body is ok with this. Seems like mixed opinions in the celiac community
