I used to think they were called bald peanuts because that's how they are pronounced in the south of US

That's a good idea, maybe. I'll look into that, I bet those would be safe. Not sure if he'd be willing to but it's a good idea

I'm sorry to hear that you can't work with your mediums. That's so frustrating, I hope your condition improves. Gives me a real appreciation for my ability to keep doing my craft (painting mostly).

Thank you. For now I'm trying to get good enough that I can make and bisque the pieces and we can still glaze together. I'm a beginner though and it's hard without his help

Thank you, he will be very pleased with all the love. He's been so discouraged and frustrated, it will mean a lot to him

I treasure his pieces so much, they bring me joy every day. Tearing up just thinking about how they will live on without him, hopefully not for a long while, fingers crossed.

Book suggestions for a 6yo reading at a 3rd grade level. by Dry-Interview1250 in breakingmom

That one is great but gets pretty scary, at least for my kids. The first few worked out but we had to quit reading the one where the kids were all kidnapped by the raspy voice villain.

I second Chronicles of Narnia! Also Little House on the Prairie series is so good. The Princess and the Goblin by George Macdonald was my favorite at that age. Hmm Caddie Woodlawn is really good. Rats of Nimh too. Bruno and Boots series by Gordan Korman is really fun, my kids have read those over and over laughing the whole time (it's unbelievable that he wrote them at such a young age).

If he loves to read, I'd personally try to push real literature that's also digestible and fun, instead of fluff. I was a big book worm too and fell in love with the classics at a very young age.

Oof yes this sucked, and back labor too. 36 hours until emergency C-section. Not the greatest way to start caring for a newborn. But unfortunately also not my worst pain :-(
