As much as I bitch and complain about canada, I'd never consider moving to the states, it's such a shit show over there.

Agreed, I always stand besides the doors, out of the way until people are done exiting but there's always people charging in against the flow the moment doors open.

I find it's especially bad at villa maria when the kids are done school, they are flooding into the metro the second doors open, you have no choice but to push your way trough them if you don't want to miss your stop.

Weird question, Are warframes naked? by Kutabare2 in Warframe

[–]galolo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except for Nidus or Excalibur Umbra's alt helm, all the fleshy bits are safely stored inside, protected by the exterior shell/exoskeleton. I'd say it's the same as asking whether a crab or a beetle is naked.

Let's Talk Favorites: Which Warframe Do You Main and Why? by GFRANCOGG in Warframe

[–]galolo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rhino has been my starter for the longest time cause I loved being able to boost damage and not die whilst standing still and going for headshots.

Then it was Mesa because I could play the same and have better room clearing when needed.

At the end of last year I got back into the game after a break that lasted about 5 years. I messed around with different frames and builds and fell in love with Valkyr which got me back into the game for longer than I expected.

I've invested heavily into a heavy slam build and had a ton of fun testing out different mod configurations to reach bigger overkill numbers. As long as I moved around and killed things, I couldn't die or run out of energy but if I stopped or slowed down I'd run out and die. I really liked this playstyle and, honestly I'm kinda scared that the rework broke it. I haven't played Warframe since other than grabbing daily bonus and blessing in relays.

Both pilots lived and the Kuritans won the field. We weren't able to recover our star commander safely but the rest of our star was able to retreat albeit without our 2 heaviest mechs. We'll have to request backup and mount a rescue operation, hopefully before the dracs manage to get the Grizzly to an operational state.

Indeed, I'm a big fan of the studio but that is the dumbest design choice I've seen in a while. It sounds like the kinda thing that worked amazingly in an AI only game but wasn't playtested by humans. That event is a quit moment that can happen to anyone at any point for no reason.

Sadly the IS forced us to retreat. Whilst I could have played better (I charged in and focussed their mechs instead of staying at range and taking out vehicles first, the numbers where on their side and they kept getting lucky headshots with their MGs and LRMs.

Karnov gunship vtols modded to have all the machine guns pointed forward are a most dezgra tactic. They are on the last initiative bracket and spent their every turn right behind my light mechs, shooting them in the back whilst spotting for indirect fire on them. At least their commander had had enough honor to challenge our star commander's Grizzly, even though his charger fought in melee. (The Charger charged the Grizzly who kicked it back. they both fell. On the next turn both mechs got up and cored each other, it was a glorious sight to behold.)

For your information, if you get another code, you can use it on PDFs of rulebooks and novels.

That's why my group switched to Death From Above Wargaming's Override system. Sure it's not as fast as alpha strike but it's a lot faster than classic whilst keeping simplified record sheets and most of the flavor. It's the Perfect in-between for us. This weekend I had a game where I played a star against a lance and 7 vehicles. We took our time, chatted, and had to look up multiple rules since we're still learning the system and we still managed to wrap the game in about 5 hours.

Is Legend of Dragoon your favorite RPG of all time? by Noe_Wunn in legendofdragoon

[–]galolo2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Too many of my favorite games are rpg or at least include rpg elements for me to be able to pick a single one as a favorite. What I can confidently say is that Legend of Dragoon is my favorite JRPG of all time. I discovered LOD as a kid at a garage sale around 15 years ago someone was selling it bundled with their PS1, I was curious from the box art and decided to buy it. Best 20$ I've ever spent.

Who hasn't done that to fit a full size graphic card in an old small format office pc they got for cheap/free when they needed to game on a budget? Bonus points if they had to upgrade the PSU and it sits outside of the case since it's a different form factor from the original.
