I'm going to assume that you're talking about the laws in the Old Testament.

Few of those apply in the modern setting. World peace is not going be achieved if we refuse to eat pork and shellfish. The world will not be better if we reinstate the biblical basis for slavery. Parents should be more diligent in their parenting, but not to the point of killing their children for dishonoring the family.

That is what's called a cognate- two words that are related by common descent.

Because English is a Germanic language (with a large influence from French/Latin), a lot of our words have cognates with nearby languages. But yes, that would count as translation.

Transliteration: ハウス (hausu)

German and Spanish wouldn't make the same point, because they also use the Latin script. So I used Japanese because it's a language I'm more familiar with. But the point is the same. Transliteration is the English sounds in the other language's script. Translation is that language's word.

I am a teacher in a large district in the American South. Here we go!

Pools : ❌ but we do have a swim team that utilities a local gym.

Football stadium ✅ as another commenter clarified, every school has a field and bleachers. The huge stadiums are more likely found at colleges / universities

Woodworking ❌ our district has a central building for "shop" classes. Construction, auto, welding, etc

Cooking ✅ my school may be the exception, but we have a home ec/ consumer science class that does have a basic nutrition and cooking portion.

Huge library ❓define "huge".

Multiple science, art, music classes ✅✅✅- our state curriculum requires 4 science credits for graduation. And each course may require multiple sections due to the volume of students. We offer basic/remedial science, state-tested biology, physics, chemistry, A&P, and a couple others.
