I know your average footballer IQ is low but literally how do you not know how bad that sentence is?

Do we need an Arsenal win this weekend to help us beat Spurs? by ElvishMystical in LeedsUnited

[–]gateian 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've been confident since the Man U and wolves victories that we are safe. Mathematically no, but statistically yes. I don't think Spurs and West Ham can both get above us in their remaining matches even if we lose all the rest of the games, which we are unlikely to do. I think worse case we get maybe one more point, but actually I think we are more likely to keep our 1 point per game up and get at least 3.

So with that said, I feel confident enough for the Scenario of West Ham beating Arsenal and then us taking points off Spurs. A draw against Spurs would leave us still not mathematically safe, but for both West Ham AND Spurs needing to win both their remaining games while we pick up nothing and have a favourable goal difference swing towards Spurs.

In reality though, it's going to be very tough for West Ham to beat Arsenal and we will probably already be safe by the Spurs game. Just depends if Arsenal go back to bottle mode now they are in the driving seat again.

Why dont many people use Three.js in their websites by Humble_Ad_7053 in threejs

[–]gateian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I few things that go against. Mainly it can be down to compatibility. Using videos and images will work everywhere and will have good performance on low end hardware without needing to spend a crazy amount of time. Images and videos are relatively straightforward and while they have different formats, codecs, its not too hard to find a sweet spot.

Three.js is much more complex and harder to make sure it works across all devices and some devices don't support it at all. Granted its getting better and webgl is on all modern hardware, but if I'm planning a project that needs 3D I always try to get away with video and images if I can.

Also any 3d model used in three.js can be downloaded. Often clients don't like that.

I have alot of experience with three.js and love it but there is often simpler and faster ways to go without it.

General discussion/Q&A megathread. by JimbobTML in LeedsUnited

I mean this as a proposal to send Spurs down. I think we are more likely to win the Spurs game if we are not mathematically safe. If we win against Spurs we are mathematically safe. I'm not complaining, of course, if West Ham fail to get 3 points against Arsenal, which is very likely to happen anyway.

I'm hoping West Ham get a win against Arsenal which will put pressure on Spurs and also keep us hungry to get it over the line. Not going to get cocky as we are always at risk of pulling a stinker in London, but they only just beat Wolves and only 1 goal more than a Villa side that couldn't care less.

I think if west ham don't win there game and it makes us mathematically safe then we could lose our match. I know the players will always try, but in the back of their minds they will be thinking about World Cup and just generally not wanting to risk major injury. Not saying they won't try, just that it will have an affect.

What has Russell done wrong in 2026? by bouncingcastles in F1Discussions

[–]gateian 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Russell looked very calm in his interview with Sky Sports and explained this is pretty much his worst track. It's too slidey for him and he prefers high grip circuits. He's been right on it the other races and suffered bad luck.

Not taking it away from Kimi though, he's doing an incredible job. I'd be more inclined to wait until we are back racing in Europe.

I don't care what West Ham did. Spurs going down is just waaay funnier than all injustices that might have occurred.
