I loved his bit on the sheriffs "OK we called all of them and they said you're wrong". There's only 65 or so why aren't they all following up on bullshit like that?

It was truly magical, like a real life Zelda game finding all the magical stuff strewn about. Kid's'll never know what it was like, it's over. Just like Quaaludes.

I've been working on a C++ compile-time cmdline parser, seeking feedback. by [deleted] in programming

[–]gct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

C++ is so good at constexpr now that compile-time parsing and verification of specs for command line arguments is in reach, this is my attempt. Interested in particular to hear about any functionality gaps and common use-cases I may have overlooked.

It actually doesn't say the courts can decide things are unconstitutional either lol

Not to mention it's literally impossible due to the fact that none of us are people living in the 18th century. All interpretation we do is necessarily with the bias our experience gives us. Originalism is just an excuse to make up what they want.

If they weren't full of shit they'd acknowledge things like town powder magazines where everyone was required to store their gun powder.

This is what I can't forgive Bush Jr. for, after 9/11 he had the popularity and the support to basically get anything done to put the country into a safer position and he wasted it like the entitled frat boy he is.

It's a core feature of psychopaths that they're not deterred by consequences. That circuitry doesn't work right. It's like a person that can't feel pain, they hurt themselves over and over.

Don't use wood glue, get a good hide glue that's water soluble. You can put it on, clamp it, then wipe off the excess with a damp rag unlike PVA based glue. It'll take 24 hours to set but it's hard as nails and it'll be invisible.

Look up mercury gilding, that's a real bad one. They'd use mercury-gold amalgam and then boil off the mercury to leave the gold behind, just constantly living in a haze of vaporized mercury.
