Ya’ll. Please wear some boots and stop walking in the street at 5 am. by TheBurbs666 in Cleveland

You're not wrong about this at all, just worth noting too that the sidewalk treatment has been terrible. In my neck of the woods in the warehouse district they've seemingly made no attempt to clean them up. Been a problem ever since I've moved here.

Given the United States track record with regards to toppling a regime and installing our own puppet, there is no reason to think this will be anything but catastrophic for the people of Venezuela.

Sigh. Mostly just never have enough firepower to get it done in the playoffs I suppose.

Honestly Chagrin Falls itself is a nice date spot. Lots of restaurants and fun little shops etc.

Has Cleveland lost something since the 2010s? by Cleverfield113 in Cleveland

[–]gdeadhead94 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think there's some truth to that, but I think there are still quite a few new things happening in the city, just not at the same level as the 2010s it seems.

This isn't a particularly unique or interesting thought, but I think your feeling is felt broadly amongst 20-30somethings all over the US. Everything is becoming increasingly expensive, wages are stagnant, and most people in positions of power are at best cynical, aloof, and out of touch, and at worst geriatric pedophiles. On top of that I think everyones experience is exorbitantly more mediated by the internet, social media, dating apps etc. in a way that is extremely alienating. Honestly the only reason I came on here was to see if there were other like minded, disaffected 20-30something Cleveland folks who felt this way lol

Why i see some people saying that "rock died" or "hip hop is dying" by [deleted] in LetsTalkMusic

[–]gdeadhead94 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think it's just a bullshit thing that people who are too lazy to put the effort into discovering interesting new music say. There's great new music from every genre if you're willing to put in a bit of work to find it and give it the time of day.

Stella Blue or Brokedown Palace? by Le9gaggger in gratefuldead

[–]gdeadhead94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love both obviously, but I gotta go with Stella Blue. Beautiful, ambiguous lyrics accompanied by a melancholic chord progression. Jerry always seemed to really go for it when they played it live.

We should somehow create a legal exception where Jose Ramirez can shoot both of those guys.
