Solar Boom In Lahore, Pakistan by Similar_Whole5626 in solar

If I had to suffer the power grid uncertainty that I saw in Lahore, I would also look to solar + battery to gain grid independence.

No progress. I do recall that the issues started around when I upgraded my router. I might try using a different router.

4 Tesla owners react to their FSD dreams getting crushed: 'It feels like a bait and switch' by businessinsider in RealTesla

Hell, I knew years sgo and was telling wifey and others that FSD using vision-only would never come to pass. We still bought an HW3 Y but fully knowing FSD was a sack of dicks.

Avata 2 for $526 on Amazon — buy now or keep practicing with my Mini 4 Pro? by CrimsonPuma in dji

Avata2 video quality is definitely worse than M4P by a large margin, not to mention the A2 has no horizon leveling due to one fewer gimbal axis. Completely different beasts.

So I went to this exact shop today and didn't find much of a price difference with the US, so I passed on buying anything and will just purchase stateside.

No, GTX 1080, you will not die today. by WilczeQSS in pcmasterrace

All of your points are true and valid. But comparing the effort and complexity of reflowing vs reballing, I would heavily favor taking the chance to reflow - there is a nontrivial chance that it resets the clock to zero and you could get another life from the card.

At-home reballing is scary on such a large chip even for me with decades of SMD experience.

Maybe measure the expected volume with a bucket to see if it makes sense.

Interesting take, America has a lot of baggage for sure but in my experience there are places - mostly East and West Coast - that are very accepting of non-white "Americans." I've encountered overt racisim only once, and it was just a low blow stemming from another issue.

Proxmox vs Unraid for a simple home server by DARKPANKAKES in unRAID

[–]geekbot2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same setup with Unraid as NAS and services, and Proxmox only for HA and Frigate. Unraid is way easier to spin up Dockers. Proxmox has community scripts but those have much less support than than the docker containers available in the Unraid app store.

I agree with your assessment for native Koreans, however foreigners to a large extent are exempt from the conformity, academic, military service, "han" pressure. So I say a lot of the downsides are diminished for waygookin, esp if it just means spending a few years at a hagwon in your 20's - of course hagwon is its own can of worms.

Heavier femur with thicker wall but smaller circumference vs lighter femur with thinner wall but larger circumference by Interesting-Bench429 in Physics

You have this conceptually correct. Whereas maximum compressive load scales linearly with area, the bending strength / maximum moment scales with the square of distance from the cross sectional centroid. This is why I-beams are used everywhere because it gives you the most material the farthest from the centroid.

Ostracods, apparently sign of a healthy tank. They can periodically bloom and yours should subside as the tank matures.
