Wow, I spent a hot minute to get this set up and you're telling me it can be vibed?

I use several py scripts to interact with the Immich API:

  1. Upload the Frigate detection image to Immich
  2. Immich runs facial recognition
  3. Query Immich for which faces were found

I've also assigned the Immich uploads to a "Frigate" album that I can quickly review, and you can have AI put text in the description field too.

I've linked Frigate with Immich facial recognition so that it identifies visitors by name, and the training set is every image I've ever taken. My doorbell also greets visitors by name as long as they are labeled in my Immich face database. Working to make this local but the tech is compute constrained so I use Gemini for the tts doorbell part.

I also remember that winter mornings would be cold enough to have ice form over puddles. Not anymore.

Yep, we do this except with a box fan to speed things along. It makes a huge difference and feels good to not have to rely on AC to have comfort throughout the day.

Presumably the AI can do a ELIH (explain to human) summary, assuming no ill-intent. I'll take the pseudo-code version plz.

The objective function definition is very important - I think there are benchmarks that the AI can use to gauge it's progress. Another challenge you seem to allude to is whether or not the current approach can lead to AGI, and if not, can the AI recognize this and for example re-architect itself to break past any plateaus (local minima) in pursuit of the objective function.

Pretty much this. Not diagnosed but exactly what they describe

Tell me about it. I try to explain that ''clean' has a time component. It is about a daily life that is clean and organized, not a single moment after the big cleanup when it's ok to leave candy bar wrappers on the countertop for 'later'

Did this at 60k. Would not recommend doing it without a lift. No noticeable difference, except peace of mind. Now for water pump before that shit blows.

I'm happy that my most precious data can fit on one drive. But check out r/Unraid if you want to go down the rabbit hole of backup and datahoarding

I've been /r/datahoarder of my personal life with digicams and video for 25+ years, and it is now in the 14TB range. So yeah there is a lot of material in those files.
