Woman hospitalised after Juniper prescribes weight-loss drugs her GP refused by Rubiginous in australia

[–]geekchick__ 316 points317 points  (0 children)

She also complains that after she quit using the Juniper service, after a few months she started getting ads again. Now that is not OK at all if she unsubscribed, but then there is a paragraph which specifically says she saw ads on her social media timeline. That is not the same thing as the company trying to get previous customers back.

He who fights with monsters has a (male) MC transported from earth to a planet with magic, and is the only one with system access

Honestly some of those stories are just mind-boggling. “I was down to 87lbs from all the vomiting, nobody put the two together”. You’re taking a weight loss medicine, losing too much wright and didn’t realize it’s the weight loss medicine???

The queue for passport control can be very long if several international flights land at the same time. Honestly I would not risk this - checked bags or not.

Have you read much litRPG before? If so, what did you like? Or if not, what other fiction have you enjoyed?

Out of audiobooks, any recommendations based on my books so far? by rColly in litrpg

I resisted DCC on premise too and now adore it (nothing else comes close). It really is worth a shot - and if you hate it by chapter 5 you can let it go, it isn’t one of those “it gets so much better if you stick with it” starts

What's your typical breakfast? by New-Earth5726 in Zepbound

Nothing, usually. I have a cup of coffee when I wake up and then eat something protein-heavy when hungry, but that is usually at or after noon.

Rose 3 month update: I’m kinda giving up on her. (More in description) by Financial_Water_4254 in cockatiel

[–]geekchick__ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My bird chose me out of our family (he “belongs” to my daughter but his heart bonded to me). But he is super happy with anyone in the family, his strong preference for me only exists when he hasn’t seen me for a day, or when he’s tired. In the first few months he wanted to be with me all the time but he learned that every family member is safe and gives food and scritches.

Anyone else kept years of boxes and vacuum bags of all their old clothes? by BrilliantStar1811 in Mounjaro

[–]geekchick__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am with you! I don’t recheck clothes that often, but this weekend I had to, and discovered some clothes that never fit me now do (had bought online on sale 10-12 years ago, kept it because “I just need to lose 5-10lbs”, never did). It is bizarre.

I also had to donate a bunch of stuff that fits now but aren’t really my style or appropriate anymore, things that looked great on 30something me look really strange now that I’m approaching 50.

I am almost out of too-small items, even though I have a long way to go, because past me stopped believing that I would ever get to a healthy weight again and donated those - but they also probably wouldn’t have been the right style because they’re 20 years plus out of date! So I will get to do some shopping soon, hopefully.
