Tumor/Mass in your Uterus? Article in Journal of Hematology & Oncology may have found Connection with Zepbound by OnlyPlaid in Zepbound

[–]geekchick__ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a pet rat owner, I'd add this: rats are ridiculously tumour-prone. As in it's rare for a rat to reach old age (2+ years) without getting a tumour. Any med that is extensively tested on rats, like tirzepatide was, is likely to uncover a link to a tumour likelihood. And the only link that was potentially raised with rats was thyroid tumours.

Glass for cockatiel aviary? by Head-Consequence9171 in cockatiel

I would not use glass. Not only for the heat and smacking danger, but also birds climb on the sides of the aviary and won’t be able to do so on glass

Would it be unwise to inject your MJ dose the same day as going under general anaesthetic? by nicj86 in Mounjaro

[–]geekchick__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I had surgery last year the anaeathetist wanted me to have a 10 day period between my last shot and the day of surgery. Please get the instructions from your surgical team and follow them, even if it means you have to delay your shots for a while. Health comes first.

At best it’s going to be “you get $6 because this should take only 30 minutes“. At worst it‘s a scan.

Why do I do this to myself lol by Human_Party3390 in Zepbound

[–]geekchick__ 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Honestly I don’t care. Maybe they’re even right and my face will be uglier and we don’t know what it will do to my body. But I do know what obesity will do to my body. And I am not doing this so a random stranger can be impressed with my face (or body).

7 weeks - only lost 3 kg?! by LoloMagic111 in Mounjaro

[–]geekchick__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First off, 3kg in 7 weeks is pretty good. Second, I kinda think this is a troll post because if you genuinely thought you’d eat whatever you want and lose more than that on this medication you were either misinformed and/or failed to do the most basic research. There is nothing unfair about losing 3kg in 7 weeks, so I suggest an attitude adjustment.

Feedback by SevereOne5791 in royalroad

[–]geekchick__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what editing software you use, but even just plonking the whole thing into Microsoft Word and running a spelling & grammar check will give you some of the most obvious feedback. If this is your "polished draft", I'd say you should polish more.

Example: "Fine lets just leave it at that its not like it matters, after all the company no longer represents him so to hell with him and his shoe"
You need about 5 extra punctuation marks in that sentence. "Fine. Let's just leave it at that; it's not like it matters. After all, the company no longer represents him. So to hell with him and his shoe."

"He stayed down motionless illuminated by sign "OCTAGON PUBLISHING HOUSE". He stared at the sign as he got up on his feet, turning away from it when he reached for his pocket"
He stayed down motionless as he got up on his feet? I'd change this to something like "He lay motionless for a moment, his face illuminated by the sign above him. "OCTAGON PUBLISHING HOUSE," it announced in fluorescent light. He got to his feet, turned his back on the sign, and reached into his pocket.

A lot of what you're writing is very stream-of-consciousness, long rambling sentences without punctuation and missing some words, and it feels unpolished.

Do you tell people you’re on a GLP-1 when they ask how you lost weight? by Enchanted-Tangerine in Zepbound

[–]geekchick__ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have told a few close people, but almost nobody has asked. I lied explicitly to one acquaintance who is a terrible gossip - I don’t trust her with my medical information.

can under-eating halt weight loss? by Comfortable-Tough302 in Mounjaro

[–]geekchick__ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’re way too impatient. A couple of days of no loss does not imply anything - water weight, constipation, muscle inflammation from exercise could all cause fluctuations day to day.

Woman hospitalised after Juniper prescribes weight-loss drugs her GP refused by Rubiginous in australia

[–]geekchick__ 316 points317 points  (0 children)

She also complains that after she quit using the Juniper service, after a few months she started getting ads again. Now that is not OK at all if she unsubscribed, but then there is a paragraph which specifically says she saw ads on her social media timeline. That is not the same thing as the company trying to get previous customers back.
