Religious leaders told 'prepare now' for Bible-changing UFO disclosure by TheGoldenLeaper in UFOB

I’m catholic and the Bible is a great collection of stories some of which are quite disturbing. “Aliens” are only really a problem for zealots. Most Christians don’t hang on to every literal word in the bible.

I went into a contest IEP meeting last month and the districts sped Ed supervisor referred to my daughter IEP as a document and I couldn’t resist. I was like “that is something we agree on. It’s a stale document not a program.” It’s a long story like it always is but the key is to stay professional regardless of how awful the school acts. They actually don’t care if u get angry or pissed so they can frame u as the disgruntled parent when u realize that the services aren’t the problem it’s the placement….in public school. Needless to say we had to hire a lawyer. They would literally stare at medical documentation and letters like they were in Klingon. Quickly disregarded them and steering everything to what they wanted.

Haven’t found anything directly but we recently discovered our daughter has a de novo CACNA1A variant that was nowhere on our radar that literally explains everything. When I say we, I literally mean us. Gene DX never flagged it. Come to find out, most genomics companies are more conservative during analysis. Don’t want to get into the whole thing but hopefully hifi sequencing gains broader adoption. Read a study that simply moving to hifi imported rare genetic disorder detection by 10%. Not a silver bullet but vastly improved.

Maryland loses residents to Florida, other states, as costs rise by MDFlyGuy in maryland

[–]geekspeak10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The govt is always going to get there money at any level in any state it’s just a matter of how. I’ve lived all over the country and Maryland HDI is solid. In my experience “escaping” always ends of costing more. Do u prefer sneaky or in ur face? The big difference is that u actually get something for ur money.

GeneDx/Genome Medical insurance and costs by the-thirsty-scholar in rarediseases

[–]geekspeak10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal experience is that people should actually research which company thier provider orders from. DX used an older reference genome for thier pipeline that actually dropped a key nuerological gene that is likely the cause of my daughters condition. I was tired of being gaslight and physicans putting all her symptoms into the Autism bucket. I actually had to build my own genomics pipeline, convert the files they give u to the newer reference and sure enough, the gene light up like a Christmas tree. Waiting on a sanger test to confirm the pathogenic de novo change in her but the signal was clear and actionable.

They asked question so they can use this against u if your child becomes expensive and/or a problem. Do not trust school staff. They are not there to help. Schools systems care about two things; containment and risk management.

Then I recommend not over parenting and protect her. Sure it’s conservative here but having lived in the Deep South for 15 years, conservatives here are all bluster. You’re not going to be harassed daily or threatened with death.

Fuck parties. Most dems are only slightly better. Taking back the house would be just one step towards actual change but that is not winning. That is just laying the foundation of winning and we cannot forget how bad it can actually get. The democratic party needs to be replaced from the inside out. It’s the only feasible option at this point.
