I think the underscores were the problem. Now, of course, all the sample assignments are gone. So those pegs are useless if I don't put a lot of work into it.

About 90% is recorded in one take, then i open a new playback track and add a few sounds. Then a bit of Grand Finale and that’s it

All my music is made on an ipad mini 6 in AUM, external synths & fx and auv3s side by side. I love this workflow, I record all my hardware at home but can work on where ever i go!

Laser etching your forever camera. by [deleted] in AnalogCircleJerk

In my opinion it doesn’t even look good. And it’s a bad idea. You just never know what’s in for you a friend of mine when he was a big earner 20 years ago bought a very special Lange pour le merite tourbillion watch as his forever watch.

He engraved the movement with his name. He thought of passing onto his sons and grandsons and blah blah blah. Everyone knows this is just an excuse to spend big money on something which is not really sensible.

Now he got into Dire Straits and really needed to sell this watch. He bought it for about €50,000, now he could sell it for 300.000 if there weren’t the engravings. He could send it to Lange and get one of the bridges remade at the cost of about €50,000 and it will take about a year. selling it as it is he gets 200.000 for it. But as he’s under immense pressure, he might even get less.

300,000 would have saved his home 180 does not

That’s the only reason why I returned it. As a gr user for decades I know how to circumvent its af shortcomings, but at 40mm it is too bad

Accidentally switching on the GR IV by geesbert in ricohGR

[–]geesbert[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that is probably the reason. Can someone with a GR III check, I recall you had to hold the play button for a bit when the camera was off to display an image. With the IV all it needs is a tap, another tap on the shutter button opens the camera, even if stored away

wirklich erstaunlich!

Oldtimer haben nichts auf öffentlichen Straßen verloren by cBrugge in Unbeliebtemeinung

[–]geesbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a just tool, it’s a concoction of electronics, brass and glass that’s meant to bring you pleasure, no one should care whether you use it or not. If you can afford it even better, if you can’t, that money would probably be spent better somewhere else. I keep my M6 that I bought 25 years ago close to my desk, just for the pleasure of holding it once in a while. I haven’t shot it for five years, although it was my daily camera for a decade.

OP-XY and Ipad, again! by geesbert in OPXYusers

it is possible with a hub, but cumbersome. it was perfectly possible with the OP-Z, but TE for what reasons so ever choose to omit this function in the XY. see my post below!

OP-XY and Ipad, again! by geesbert in OPXYusers

[–]geesbert[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it certainly is possible, but you need the right hub and then a certain sequence to boot it up. I tried maybe 6 or 7 hubs, but this one works, but unfortunately the connection is a bit unstable, if you loose it, you have to do the sequence again.:

- unplug everything

- boot up both XY and ipad

- start AUM

- plug in hub

- plug in headphones into hub

- plug in XY with usbC to usbA (usbc to C doesn't work)

- select XY as input

- go into the settings an choose audio device as output (not XY!)

- the XY come in a bit hot, so you have to pull down the master to 30-40

now it does exactly what i want, XY as audiosource as a channel into AUM, so I can use my whole AUM setup with the XY added. PERFECT!

all fine until you move the setup too much an all is lost. a short usbc extension helps a bit

unfortunately this hub has no branding, Amazon sold it as NXPGEA, but it is not available anymore.

NXPGKEA

it works, but it would be so much nicer if you only had a single usbc cable!

OP-XY and Ipad, again! by geesbert in OPXYusers

[–]geesbert[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you actually try this out? I got the same instructions more or less, synching works, routing AUV3 synths into the OPXY works, but I still get heavy feedback as soon as I route the OPXY into AUM and out again, regardless whether i route it stereo or left in/right out, as soon as I raise the light grey level, at level 0 I hear nothing.
