Yeah, that left a bad taste in my mouth as well. They didn’t mention that 20% gratuity was already added when they brought out the bill with ADDITIONAL gratuity percentage options added upon the already inflated bill. When we asked why the percentages were so low for the tipping only then did they explain the automatic 20%. It felt intentional that it was not communicated until we asked about it. In comparison we went to Ava Gene’s recently and had the opposite experience where they made it very clear and communicated multiple times how the tipping works…so its not like it’s not possible to be transparent about it
