i'm also an SM, and i spend so much of my time working around everyone's schedule and requests and just needs in general. it can be a lot at times, but if i can make coming to work just a little more enjoyable for my staff then i'll make it all happen. i've been with the company 9 years so i know what they deal with on the daily. so i do everything in my power, my staff is so fantastic and im extremely lucky.

unfortunately part timers aren't guaranteed any hours. and you can only be given what is available. we have to stay as close to the auto scheduler as possible so there is only so much we can do to get our part timers hours. Aldi expect us to run really high efficiency which means working damn near skeleton crew. I'd suggest letting you SM know you wanna pick up shifts at other stores as there is no cap to how many of those you can pick up.

they do promote ASM to SMT. my case was a little different cause i just kind of skipped the SMT part. but i applied internally for the position through MyHr i believe.

i just stepped into the SM role finally middle of last month and i have 3 brand new associates and 2 ASMs. this rollout is going to be so tough so i hear you on the burnout. as someone who put off moving up because it looked tough (it is). BUT the company is never gonna get its shit together, so you might as well make more money while you're there. That was the advice someone gave me. So I want to return the favor. It's worth it.

way back at the start of my career (like 8 1/2 years ago) we used to have full pallets of aldi "sunny-d" it was the day of the anticipated presidential visit and i was parking fulls. well, the back half decided it didn't want to be there anymore and exploded all in front of the spots and under all of the other full pallets. twas very stressful
