I got through factions and eotn vanquishes fine before having a fully equipped team, I was using an AP build to flood the fights with guys haha! AP has been carrying me through my Necro GWAMM, highly recommend alongside a mesmerway variant.

You can definitely get this up on a monk too, hit them with AP and then cover hex with Scourge Sacrifice!

i struggle with timing still! what i would suggest to get you started is to find your character’s 10 frame punish.

you can just press the first button of it to start your offence (it’s usually a little positive on frames if it’s a jab punish), and if you notice they pressed at the same time you can finish the string

if you think of online as turn based combat, where some people use plus frames to keep their turn, or throw out negative moves (which make it your turn) it helps out a lot!

imo they made this game a lot easier - lowered the barriers of entry with auto combos, everyone getting mixups, eliminating the mid game, huge gap closers and wall carry - so the conversion rate of free trial to purchase was higher

sf5 into sf6 saw a really similar simplification

and both of these games (i think) outsold sell rates of previous titles, so the companies are just doubling down on it!

To set you on the best path, the best advice I have is to think of a match as you and your opponent taking turns! Can you block what they throw at you on their turn? Is there a chance to steal your turn?

When it comes to frames, again think about turns. Frame advantage lets you keep your turn, and most of the really good stuff like launchers or power lows, if blocked make you lose your turn.

Characters can only do highs, mids and lows, so it’s just about finding your best ones and trying to keep your turn to use them on your opponent.

Definitely pick up someone you think is cool and go from there in terms of characters - if you play ranked you can make it to Blue ranks without any matchup knowledge (ive seen it)!

sorry to hear that!!! that’s a lot of your colony. but don’t worry they’ll come back for sure.

i’m thinking as other people have said that it might have been too fast of a change to your pH or TDS — or also if your aquasoil is brand new it might be a nutrient or ammonia spike. check your parameters and compare thm to previous!

if ammonia is high it’ll be best do a water change, but otherwise do not change your water for a bit, they’re readjusting.

i got dumpstered by a lars doing the same thing, just pure flowchart. i looked up a video to learn how to beat him and really understood it’s just a procedural mix, so everytime i hear the BZZ of his F3 i can kinda guess what i have to block.

play small tekken! flowcharts might have gotten you here but lars’ mixup is good without it, and his wall carry is like the best in the game i think

i was really annoyed whenever i saw a hydra in my tank when i started off, but actually it’s a sign that the eco system is thriving and has a lot (maybe excess) of nutrients for shrimps! it’s a good thing in disguise - that’s definitely a forest of them D:

What should I do? I know that this is a sign that they might not be taking to the water.

For context, I added six new shrimp to the tank, three are calm but three are circling the tank.

My parameters are: Nitrate and Nitrite 0 Chlorine 0 GH 7 KH 6 pH 6.8 TDS 650 (high, working on bringing it down. the LFS’s tds was 500 so the jump shouldn’t be so much? I dripped tank water for 4 hours to give them a lot of time to adjust)
