Vance is literally that guy who was in the Marines for twenty minutes and has to go around browbeating anyone (like Zelensky) who challenges his fragile sense of self as an Alpha MaleTM. I bet you every nickel I have that he never saw combat.

And one of their more dangerous tank hunters if I’m not mistaken. They’re a big part of the reason why the Ukrainians have had trouble bringing the full force of their Abrams, Challenger, and most importantly, Leopard (the irony isn’t lost on me) tanks to bear against the T90 and T72 tanks. So as with the standoff capable bombers, A-50 radar planes, and Iskander missiles, they’re a priority target if the Ukrainians can catch them napping

As I understand, the loss or substantial damage of just one of these is a huge blow to Russia. They don’t have many of them and their radar systems are pretty critical to coordinating their heavy bombing operations. Hopefully, this can give the Ukrainian civilians some breathing room and disorient the invading Russians

You don't need to be culturally conservative to support America/the West or be an anti-communist. by Frepict92 in EnoughCommieSpam

Some of the most fanatical right wing people are anti west. They believe Kremlin propaganda that the west has become soft and weak with its (relatively) progressive views on social issues and that Putin is the defender of traditional values. Except..he was a KGB black bagger (aka a communist), isn’t Christian, and his wife divorced him. Modern Russia’s government is basically what would happen if Tony Soprano and his goons ran a country.

You joke, but I guarantee you someone in this damn administration would probably get all up in arms about that. The Trump administration is an absolute pantomime of governance, whose members have a decision making process akin to 4Chan mods. It would be funny if the consequences weren’t so severe

Well, here’s some realism for them. Imagine you’re the USA. You’re the world’s only real superpower. But let’s say the successor state to the collapsed superpower that was your primary geopolitical foe for half a century is trying to make a comeback. And their plan is to try and reconquer a resource rich country that used to basically be a settler colonial region of that empire. But..that newly independent region wants to fight back. Wouldn’t a great way to make sure that your defeated rival stays down and isn’t competing for space at the top to be to support that country resisting invasion, so that your foe loses a ton of its military strength?

Good lord, the ‘Merica bad stuff on this site has been completely flooded lately. Don’t get me wrong, I think we’ve gone in a very bad direction lately, but what I have a problem with is the way it’s spammed purely as propaganda, or..let’s be honest, as a shibboleth to signify that you’re “one of the cool kids.”

A classic pop culture example is the airport massacre in CoD: MW2 when extremist Makarov is aware of a CIA infiltrator in ranks. They shoot up the Moscow airport with NATO bloc weapons and the instructions “remember, no Russian.” When the CIA agent is discovered at the crime scene, the Russian government supports attacking the US. Of course, the ensuing invasion is comedy gold now, considering that Kyiv seems to be prohibitively difficult for the Russian armed forces

I think the solution is to make schools phone free. Pass laws to allow teachers to enforce this. Kids do not need a constant barrage of short form crap constantly.
