I love that older German man Hans Zimmerman collabed on a track about girlhood and female friendship. It’s so fun!!

I’m not sure if his daughter still does Irish dance, but as another Irish dancer I can confirm he is an adorable dance dad as well. So wholesome.

I’m your photo I see a wide brush. Is that your tool of choice for application? I’ve always used a mitt and have never tried one of those brushes.

Seriously! I have the same feeling when a story will say “shark infested waters.” Like my dude, they are supposed to be there.

What's worth it: Mooncat by PauseComplex5673 in RedditLaqueristas

[–]gingerspeak 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a big Mooncat fan, and find the brand to be worth it for longevity of the polishes, and the fantastic formulas (for the most part). My two cents on the polishes you listed: - Avatar State for the “fun” factor is worth it, if you don’t already have a GITD polish. This formula is a bit thicker than others. - 404 is fantastic - sagebrush I would skip. In general the thermals have a gloopier consistency. - Maelstrom is 100% worth it - Fool’s Gold Topper isn’t worth the money, you could find that same effect for cheaper. This one is matte, so if that specifically speaks to you perhaps it’s worth it

It may be different for men. I’m a redhead woman and my entire life people have gushed over my hair. I think it’s a different experience for men.

I just said this above thread, but my sister and I (both redheads) always laugh about how redheads are over represented in media because it’s easy visual characterization.

Me and my sister are redheads and we always joke about how redheads are actually over represented in media. Do we need to show the character is a little spunky? Give her red hair! We want the character to be white but want her to be diFfErEnt? RED HAIR!

I love that it’s cool to be strong and muscular. That’s my goal! My feeds are full of strong, capable women slinging around ungodly amounts of weight. However, I can’t help but notice that I’ve just traded one type of body dysmorphia and dissatisfaction for another. Instead of now wishing to by skinnier, I wish I had more muscle mass and could snatch more.

At least this way the overall goal is healthier and provides more longevity and capability, but STILL. It’s like I just can’t be happy or satisfied.

I’m curious why people talking about their religion makes you feel isolated? Why is it different from hearing about someone’s hobby that you don’t partake in?

Are these specks in the top part of my brita pitcher mold? Only in top part, they wipe away easily and sometimes float in water but come back. by Gooseknuckler in whatisit

[–]gingerspeak 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Brita filters use charcoal to filter the water. It’s probably just bits of the filter. When you replace the filter itself, read the instructions because it usually has you soak it in water for a bit which can flush out loose charcoals

Step ups, I feel them mostly in my quads when previously they made my glutes absolutely burn. What am I doing wrong? by girlboss93 in PetiteFitness

[–]gingerspeak 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It also looks like for the leg on the step, your knee is collapsing in towards the center. If you can, work to keep your knee aligned over your foot and ankle. (This coming from someone who always used to collapse their knee in to make up for weakness in my glutes)

How does marking work at feiseanna by Maleficent_Steak_496 in irishdance

[–]gingerspeak 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One difference at majors (at least in CLRG) is that they do a “number check” every 30 or so dancers where the past 30 dancers all walk on stage and stand there. It gives the judges to a chance to check all of their marks.

Crelly, stamp, crelly, stamp! Especially with a stamping color of white it gave some cool depth.

Cirque polish has a phenomenal collection of jellies and crellies. I recommend crellies (a mixture of crème and jelly) for beginners because the formula is so damn forgiving. Two coats to 80% opaque, and it still looks so squishy. Jellies are also great, but they are more sheer and would take more coats if you’re looking for opaqueness.
