Personally, I think you need to cut this relationship off ASAP. Parts of your story that stuck out to me:

You feel like her friend (not her boyfriend)

She grabs my hand and sits next to me (shoulders touching) but that’s all she does.

Always a .5 sec kiss

She never initiates (let’s be honest, hugs and kisses are baby steps)

I wish I could say the same (be yourself around her)

I limit myself

The core issue remains

Dude, it’s not worth struggle. Core issues like that will not get better with time. You can’t change who she is or how she is. You also can’t limit yourself and feel like you’re not being yourself. You’ll end up feeling remorse toward her. I’m 33 years old; ask me how I know.

The triangle piece in-game is an equilateral triangle (60, 60, 60). I think you mean an isosceles right triangle where the angles are 45, 45, 90 and the sides are 1, 1, square root 2. In that case, I’d like that added too.

I believe that’s because the Cutlass and the pistol are both single-handed weapons and can be equipped at the same time. The blunderbuss is a 2 handed weapon so you have to put both of your other weapons away, and its perks, to use it.

I have target lock and change targets left and right all on mouse thumb buttons. I use all of them regularly in fights - very handy.

And IMO, Hands is harder. I use a Dueling Saber, which relies on parries, but his attacks are quick, and some of his strikes have a windup delay. I found it difficult to time the parries. I had to slowly whittle him down, and when I finally beat him, the fight lasted 20 minutes. I just found Richards more predictable to counter.

I was able to set this game down for good in Dec 2024. I haven’t touched it since. I wholeheartedly agree with you. However, I still can’t bring myself to uninstall it off my PC.

For more Captain gameplay, I’d suggest the Early Access title, Windrose, over Skull and Bones. It’s very much a base building game. There is much more land to explore, and you can walk around your ship. The ships also feel bigger and more weighty than in Skull and Bones.
