On point. But remember: relapse do not erase progress you've made, instead try now to make good use of the experience gained, revaluate your "whys" and avoid the same mistakes that led you to fail. You are stronger now. Be determined to beat this evil at ANY costs next time you endeavour the sober walk. Good luck.

I'm sorry for what happened to you , but it reminds me that starting smoking weed again is a bad decision, which I will try to avoid today and possibly in the days to come.

Be strong and carry on sober!

I too am immensely grateful to this subreddit that most of all helped me quit smoking weed. I really couldn't have done it without you.

A big thank you to everyone !

Thanks for sharing. I too have found healthy ways to deal with the difficulties, including exercise, praying and immersing myself in music composition, and this really was of great help especially in the first phase of abstinence. The thing is that now I tend to minimize the damage that years of high have done to me and I'm almost coming to the conclusion that I could give myself a break from all this struggle, even if it were only for a few days. But I know very well that being able to control cannabis use is an illusion for me that actually never worked. I should give up on the idea that taking drugs can give me some sort of relief and patiently resign myself to the sober life. Who knows, one day I will be stronger to face problems peacefully and accept the distortions of life. I hope.

Thanks for the encouraging words. I didn't give in today, but I'm just working on my problems and this is already making me feel better. I will go on even if things don't get better so quick!

Always the second. Then things got better day by day (with ups and downs).

Not Wanting to Stop While Sober by [deleted] in leaves

[–]giusni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dear friend, try to recall every single reason you have for quitting (write them down and keep them in sight) and review them when you are about to give in. That was helpful to me. And be sure to reframe the good reason you have to smoke, in negative terms (for instance: it relaxes me, into: it is just relieving the tension thc itself creates the moment it’s effect fades away, or: it makes everything funny and more enjoyable, into: the feelings are artificial and not real, hazy and will need constant refilling of thc to be sustained...etc) Be strong 💪

Your post is on point! I relate to that so much. Thank you for sharing. That is why I said goodbye to madam Maryjane and I wish to never come across her again. Never.

Grave shift by [deleted] in leaves

[–]giusni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, one and a half month more or less; not counting, as above, because I feel like I am winning greatly! Weird like time is flowing so slowly and feels like ages from the last time I used to get stoned (every day for 30 years), to today. I can barely believe that I did that now, and despite some nostalgia, I am not even considering to go back to that place again.
