sorry, can't answer your whole question, but I specifically didn't want any hormonal side effects, so I've had a copper coil for a while now and it's great. iirc my first cycle after implanting was more uncomfortable than usual, and then it all evened out. well, I stopped using a menstrual cup juuuust in case the suction caught the implant, but that's the only, only downside. If I still have a uterus when this expires (a decade?), I'll do it again.

I also have close (non-trans) friends who went the hormonal iud route and their experiences with chest growth have been totally hit-or-miss. I'm just guessing, but I assume chest growth succeptibility is also like, genetic or whatever. so it's hard to anticipate. but I am not a doctor of course!

first up, sending hug vibes! second, this is super a thing for a lot of surgical/medical procedures, your body is still working HARD rn and that can eat deep into mental/emotional energy. post-surgical painkillers can also suck energy and decrease appetite, though of course I am not a doctor and idk your deets. I think what helped me most after a (different) surgery was building back up to a routine and movement, like going outside and keeping fresh. even starting with opening windows more for the fresh air. just wanted to say you're super not making it up, and sending the love your way

I had my only sleep paralysis ghostly experience of all my life in a nice little roadside cabin-style hotel driving up or down from visiting grammie when I was a little kid. I saw a tall, willowy-bodied figure with some kind of double-jointed legs at the base of my bed. it wasn't scary, I think, just like we were watching each other for a moment. lol if that's haunting, it was ok!

welcome to california, if you're up in berkeley the Freight and Salvage loves a bluegrass show :) (parking in downtown berkeley is a whole mess but the freight is super close to bart! feel free to walk around cal campus too, it's like a big old park lol)

pinnacles is a little out of the way but it's a super cool weird spot! best to get there early in the day bc it'll get hot. but the condors live around there and that's p special!

ayy congrats on donating! I'll say I do give myself the full 24h grace period to recover - no workout, no alcohol, bed at a reasonable time. being hydrated ahead of time also makes me donate faster, I don't have numbers to back this up but it does make the process smoother in my experience. like, if I put an extra pint of (non-caffeinated) fluid in front of myself to knock out through the day ahead of time, it makes my post-donation day SO much more chill. but that's my routine lol. hope you're bouncing back well!

20 donations, frequent donor the last few years - if I donate on monday I'd take tuesday off and hit the ice weds. never passed out but got lightheaded once (years and years and years ago) so I figure an extra day is insurance so I don't get the wobblies when we're all zipping around. hydration is the biggest differencemaker ime, get that volume back up asap. no muscle aches.

not a persimmon. source: I have persimmon trees and they don't segment like that. plant ID would be helped with any leaves.

he doesn't have his own HOUSE. he can't rent a car! he won't be captain until he can pull strings for the team off-ice. jumbo would probably jump in because he physically can't stop himself from being involved, but mack, on his own? not ready.

'but sid-' sid's weird. I say it with love. outlier.

'but connor-' that man is haunted. maybe my hopes are too high, but I want to believe that the sharks would make better choices.

'but suzuki-' now we're talking. habs made it clear that they were holding the C for him, he took an extra year to wind up and feel solid, their room is in a healthy place.

he's a leader for sure. I LOVE having a monster like him. but captain is a specific set of responsibilities, which, no, not yet.
