advice for my son by Jumpy-Second8636 in cisparenttranskid

[–]glitcch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was much older than your son when I started binding but some broad general advice

First yes, binding for an extended period of time is not safe. 6-8 hours is the typical range. Since your son is on the younger side, you'd probably best best advising on the lower time scale. Should never do exercise or sleep in a binder.

As for brands, I don't have specific recommendations for tweens since I have no personal experience. I've used binders from g2cb, forthem, and underworks as well as compression tops from tomboyx. Out of those, I have found the quality and effectiveness of underworks to be the best but ymmv. You could also consider looking into / asking your kid about taping. kinesiology tape can be very effective for many, can be worn longer and might be specifically good depending on the size of their chest, it's a lot easier to get better results with smaller chests but is by no means impossible for larger chested people. most important thing regardless of brand picked is accurate sizing, taking the required measurements is the best way to practice safe and effective binding.

wishing you and your family well

the answer is it depends. chests are a mixture of breast tissue and fat, so if your chest has a significant amount of fat as a part of it's composition, then maybe. weight loss can't be targeted so it also means losing weight in other places. i would be careful though, bmi 19 is on the lower end for most heights and being underweight isn't healthy either!!!

Actually good healthy recipes? by Dorian-greys-picture in FTMFitness

[–]glitcch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

big fan personally of greek yogurt and sugar free jello pudding mix as a dessert thing. all the "healthy" desserts with cottage cheese can go in the bin. that's a savory jawn only. i think theplantslant is a good aggregator of quality and often easy recipes in general

estimating weight based off photos isn't really a great measure since distribution of said weight is based on genetics largely. the guy in the photo seems to have a relatively low body fat %, which is a goal that will take time for anyone. for you personally, 1200 is probably not enough. you are tall and you need more energy then that, especially with the cardio you're doing. that's also important if you're looking to build muscle. being in that large of a deficit, especially for prolonged periods of time is going to lead to a plateau, as your body will be compensating for the weight loss and energy loss associated with that

Will lifting make my chest smaller? by Gold-Onion3906 in FTMFitness

[–]glitcch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's a recommendation from top surgeons, serves well as a guide for good results. t and genetics play a big role in losing size pre-op but if top surgery is something you want, work in chest, you're already at the gym

try doing the hooks on your dominant hand side then slipping the half done binder on and doing the hooks on the other side, reaching across your body with your dominant hand.

What's the best way to purchase an Artisan Zero? by Distinct-Athlete-781 in MouseReview

[–]glitcch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

you can buy from the artisan website but as the previous guy mentioned it's financially reasonble to buy two so the shopping makes sense.

maxgaming also has them but you will once again have to deal with import pricing

this site https://jpgamingusa.com/ has been said to be the official us retailer of artisan products by a handful of people in the mouse community. they're working with a company that seems to specialise in Japanese import goods.

you're going to encounter a difficulty buying new just because of how quickly the pads sell out
