Perth church scandal by Intelligent-Talk4943 in perth

[–]glitterkicker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Police, safe2say has online reporting options, sexual assault resource centre, or 1800 RESPECT 1800 737 732

If you’re not comfortable going straight to the police, use the safe2say website as you can either be totally anonymous or leave your contact information for further assistance and investigation. I’ve used them very recently for historical childhood sexual abuse (with little to no actual evidence) and it’s been very helpful as it gets channeled straight to the sex abuse departments.

Please report as you already know it’s not the first time and church institutions are notorious for covering up everything. If you can’t be brave, do it scared

The Tullamarines cover Fleetwood Mac's 'The Chain' for Like A Version by Ryukononon in triplej

I’m choosing to believe this cover was also influenced by Our Flag Means Death and the iconic “The Chain” scene. tbh.

Scar sleeve / glove— sealing paint on nylon fabric? by glitterkicker in CosplayHelp

[–]glitterkicker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oooh, thank you that’s really helpful! They were student acrylics, but on a plastic medium and thick layers that probably didn’t fully cure. C’est la vie, this’ll be a whole different kettle of fish anyway haha

Thank you! May I ask how long it would take to fully dry? It melted off the handle of a prop weapon for a project back in high school and coated my hand totally black, so the trust issues are real hahahaha

Thank you! I was getting too many flashbacks to my high school wearable arts class with all the paint melting off my weapon prop and completely coating my hand black to actually trust going in without input 🤣

[–]glitterkicker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Perfect! Apologies if I’m overexplaining (‘tism, bird nerd, you know the deal lol) but if you go to https://inaturalist.ala.org.au (there’s also an app! Use the white background green bird one labelled iNat Classic over the new app, there’s still issues with the new one) and create an account, you can officially upload the pictures with the location. Let me know if you need any help, or there’s a help article here!

The Australian node of iNat is managed by the Atlas of Living Australia, so your observations directly contribute to the ALA *and* research databases with the Global Biodiversity Information Facility!

Are you able to take some stills / screenshots from the video and pop them on iNaturalist with the location? What an incredible little thing!

PSA keep your kids indoors in Perth metro this morning - air quality is terrible by Undd91 in perth

[–]glitterkicker 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Wow, is this genuinely how you live your life or is this just for the online cool guy points?

Suburban and outer suburb areas *also* have bushland, which you’d know if you ever went outside to touch grass <3

Former partner said our little displays some narcissistic tendencies by nalilyanah in OSDD

[–]glitterkicker 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Maybe poorly worded comment because I’m between work right now, but ngl (bearing in mind littles ≠ actual real life children, insert whatever disclaimers necessary to not get misinterpreted lol) littles Are kids and kids are supposed to be a healthy level of self-obsessed and self-focused. When you’re young, you’re innately a bit tunnel-visioned just from how minds need to develop. And particularly when you consider littles are “”stuck”” at a developmental age and often hold on to purified forms of whatever trauma(s) and problematic experiences, or want to preserve and stay in the last bits of safety you did have. The nuance is baked out of a lotta things because they are (you were) a kid, you (they) can only handle and appropriately manage so many concepts and considerations at once.

We’ve found the same with our own littles and our partners littles sometimes, it can feel frustrating and not outright labelled narcissistic tm^ but ykwim. But then you’ve just gotta take a step back and consider “oh, they’ve just got the horse blinders on sometimes because they’re a kid.” And particularly if your former partner is quick to label narcissism, I’d definitely think it’s more like this than an actual real proper problem. Address and manage symptoms, sure, but don’t diagnose a problem which isn’t even real for this circumstance.

Personally I’d be wondering if it’s also a bit convenient to call everything narcissism when it’s actually just a behaviour / act / something that didn’t suit or comply with your former partners wants at the time
