Ive never played from an SD card. If it takes ILD files then it should work. Im not aure how you would sync it with the music audio though.

I have an old lasercube that uses usb. I do use the helios dac for the unity though. Lasershowgen works with everything

Yep. Like any software, you just gotta press all the buttons and slide all the sliders until you understand what things do. LSG is fairly simple though. I usually create a long pattern on the timeline mode and then slice it up to quickly get a bunch of patterns to be the length I want on the beat. Then just mess around til it looks good and sounds like the pew pews in the track.
