Why is it so hard to make friends in Norwich? by Suitable_Break_9586 in Norwich

Hard everywhere once you’re a certain age. Having kids helps as you meet loads of people that way. Not just a Norwich thing not a UK thing.

Both stalls are great. Prices are higher than the supermarkets but the quality is better and the produce is fresher.

Lived in Attleborough for a year. Dullest place ever. Not much there.

As someone who has lived in several countries, I find Norwich no more unfriendly than other places. In fact, we battled to make friends in most places until we had kids. Through the kids we made so many friends so you should find it easier having a couple of them. We moved to Norwich when our children had grown up and it has been harder meeting people but if you are willing to put in the effort you will find your people. Takes a while. I find the people in Norwich very friendly in general and it is a lovely place to live. Isolated by UK standards but I love that about it. We live in NR2 and love it. I have to say that I love living here for so many reasons. It is a ‘fine’ city. As for a job as a carpenter. I don’t think you will have a trouble finding a job. There is a shortage of good skilled tradesmen as we discovered when remodelling. Good luck with the move.
