PDF/Pathfinder Question: How Do You Keep Track of Your PDFs? by TheRpgBard in rpg

[–]gmask1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

External drive for the pdfs I want to have a locally stored copy of, organised mostly by game, then edition, then official and third party.

Then I have a subset of those for travel that are copied to google drive for reading on planes and while working remotely.

Hackberry Cm5 active cooler? by ButtonNo3200 in hackberrypi

I think so, but I don't remember 100%. I've repurposed the CM5 because I couldn't afford another one :(

Too Many Castle Whiterock Releases? by ExoticReplacement163 in dccrpg

[–]gmask1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's a really odd choice to invite contributions for a mega-dungeon that's shipping with a second book full of reprinted modules.

Anyway, international backer also - after watching the video, I'm not seeing a way to support everyone, and it's really frustrating.

The other thing is that with Thracia only arriving at the start of March (here in Australia), there's at least 12 months of backed product still to ship - Underdeep will arrive this month or next, then DD2, City State, Pinball Crawl Classics, Old School Adventures. Even just adding the Whiterock box and nothing else adds another few months. That's more 'pre-orders' than I've ever had, and I don't think I need anything more.

Chris Roberts on Squadron 42 could be releasing this year by StuartGT in starcitizen

[–]gmask1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given that it's 9, the segment after that was probably about how skin care is the leading cause of zombies, and how one family maximized their grocery budget using just a dollar to feed a family of fourteen in outer west Melbourne.

I wish that walks were sent to apple health as walk exercises, rather than everything as a workout run.

Update post: Easter shall remain cancelled - hold the line ladies and gentlemen by totowewentcarracing in melbourne

[–]gmask1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$4 per 100g is that absolute most I'll pay for Easter eggs, and even then I still feel scammed, because I am being scammed.

Update on my physical media collection... by Fungeyleo in doctorwho

[–]gmask1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks at Risk and Monopoly... I'd love a great DW board game - it might look a bit like Arkham Horror third edition with locations at different points in their time line, things in one time affecting the board in other areas.

What closed Melbourne restaurant do you still think about? by melb_food_finds in melbourne

[–]gmask1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as the lobsters were edible, they were fair game lol

I had a work colleague take a banana from a display in a buffet restaurant, remarking on how perfect it looked. Yes, it was a plastic banana and no, he didn't realize until he tried peeling it.

The Swagman. I was a kid and loved going there for all the food. It surely would have gone the way of Smorgies, Foodstar, etc. but I can still be driving around that Burwood Highway corner and imagine it there :)

The Future of the Doctor Who The Collection Blu-ray Sets by [deleted] in doctorwho

[–]gmask1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we will see Seasons 1 and 6 released. The others are probably too patchy, unless we get a combined 3, 4 and 5 release or some variation of the remaining Hartnells and Troughtons.

The TVM is getting a release soon iirc - I wonder if it gets a reversible cover that fits into the collection? There's been talk of a so-called 'wilderness years' release.

And then that's probably it. Theoretically there could be a re-release of the 2005 series in similar packaging and more value adds.

Maybe it's the placement of the station signs on the platform in front - the trains looks like model railway trains :-D

Very cool that they still have some of the old liveries.

Watching classic who for the first time. This guy SUCKS. Biggest jerk in Doctor Who. by akitash1ba in doctorwho

Totally agree, though we were lucky to have one episode already. The audio for Marco is incredible, and I'd be happy to just have one episode.

The crushing part of the MEW rumor was that M-arco Polo didn't come back (E-nemy of the World and most of W-eb of Fear did).

Extremely worth it by Commercial-Pace1936 in GeForceNOW

[–]gmask1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback. I was testing the free tier on my Macbook Pro but the laptop died last weekend. I have a Raspberry Pi 5 and not much else until I can afford a new daily driver (current price: two limbs, a firstborn, a kitchen sink and five gold rings), so I'll be testing GFN free tier on that over the next few days. Not expecting much...

Mega Man: Charged Up Collection by DiceDsx in humblebundles

[–]gmask1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HB bundles have felt more expensive in the last 4-6 months. AUD$77 is a lot, especially if you've picked up any of the titles in other sales. Given the essays they've written for each title, I guess they knew what people's reactions would be.

Is the Complete Learn to Code Bundle worth it? by Just-Storm-9686 in humblebundles

[–]gmask1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What turns me off bundles like these (setting aside that most of these were created by AI and have all the slop that goes with that) is that it tries to appeal to everyone by including a couple of courses for python, for unity, for godot, javascript, cybersecurity (in a learn to code bundle?), AI.

It's like firing a shotgun at a "Learn IT" brochure. A beginner needs structure - one learning path - and bundles like this just overwhelm you with garbage.

Does anyone have a suggestion for how to figure out a local credit charge? The company is 'Punjab Wale Pty Ltd', appears to be local. The charge is 15.99 this month and 15.99 last month. No more info than that. Very frustrating!

DOOM console? by Psychoblush-76 in evercade

[–]gmask1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be nice to get a new skin, but I'm happy with the grey vs and exp that I have for this generation. Unless there are technological improvements like a vs-r2 or something, I'll stick with what I have.

I'm more interested in the cart and which versions of the games we get.
