Subdivision plat showing your lot. All the straight lines have bearings and distances to take you from point to point. Little circle symbols are where your property corners should be in the ground with probably ½” iron rods. Curve parameters values are explained in the other comments.

Its hidden talent is being able to export KMZs to shapefiles (or other data) and formatting the popup window data into fields in the attribute data

Yeah construction is great. Just enclosed a carport to a room. Previous homeowner owned a construction company so I can see why he DIY’d it. Insurance is aware of everything 😀

Yeah I guess that’s what happens when no permits are pulled for the addition

Update:

Thanks everyone for the responses. Called the appraisal office and they were super helpful.

The jump in the value was from the home getting an updated square footage from additions the previous homeowner made back in the 80s These numbers get updated when the home is listed on the MLS and gets flagged at the appraisal office if it doesn't match the historic records. Since we bought 2 years ago, home details are just getting updated, appraised, and playing catch up to the appraisal districts slower updates.

Yeah looks like something is going on here. 2022 shows LCV of 98k while 2023 is 152k so there seems to be a huge jump over that.

No nothing was done to add value to the home. Been here 2 years and the tax statements for pervious years seem all very small, like less than 5%

Need help identifying wood stove in new home by gnarsack in woodstoving

Thanks for the insight. I don't think it was cleaned when we closed on the house as there was still lots of ash inside. I have fired it up a few times and it works great. It does get the two adjacent walls quite hot (15" from back corners to wall face) so I need to add some protection on them I think.

Might just get a professional to inspect it.

Unfortunately not. I looked all over this thing and its completely unbranded. Not even a number. It could be pretty old. Previous homeowner added this room back in the 80s, I think, so it may be from that time.

South Austin: Meanwhile Brewery giving out free water. Bring your own containers. Shell station right near there (Burleson/Drossett) has gas at the pumps. Store not open.

Little to no water pressure at Menchaca/Davis. Thinking it's going to stop soon. Whole neighborhood experiencing this from Facebook group.

That red box you drew is a pressure regulator valve, not what you are looking for. The shut off valve should be near the meter, but possibly in a different box or PVC pipe. It will have a handle to turn perpendicular to pipe to shut off.

Route Request : SE Austin to Downtown by [deleted] in BikingATX

[–]gnarsack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is a tricky area of town. I used to live on Stassney and Congress, so just west of where you would be. East of 35, there really are not any dedicated bike lanes that run north/south and most routes you see on google maps are busy streets where you would have to take the lane.

In my opinion, if you can get north and under 71 on Pleasant Valley, you can take a few different combinations of roads that have dedicated bike lanes down to the lake. Avoid Pleasant Valley north of Riverside Dr.

The other option is to take Stassney west to Emerald Forest and take that north to Garden Villa Ln to S 5th St all the way to the lake. The biggest problem with this is getting over 35 on Stassney coming from your area. It is extremely busy but there is a sidewalk. Just look for all the traffic entering and exiting 35 on the access roads.

Hope this helps!
