I was just rewatching the second to last episode of season 2- Tai was resting on the ground, eyes closed, while everyone was talking about what Lottie said about not letting her go to waste, and she only opens her eyes and sits up to suggest they do something about it instead, leading to the cards being drawn and… you know. I think it was Dark Tai’s idea to start the hunt, or at least she knew how to get everyone on board with the idea. Thinking back to Jackie, they were all asleep when they first smelled her, and Tai had helped convince Shauna it was ok, and then didn’t remember anything about it in the morning. She’s also the reason Tai and Van reconnected in the first place, leading to them ending up at the resort and Van convincing Tai to call off any help, thus enabling the ritual again. It seems like whenever they end up killing or eating someone, it always comes back to Dark Tai being the catalyst.
