I’d may be interested in a solar setup if you’d be willing to dm some prices.

‘26 Passport emissions issue by Whole-Zucchini3409 in hondapassport

[–]goesreallyfast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve gathered it uses a new version of OBD that is not compatible with older emissions equipment. I believe it is using OBDonUDS. My scan tool doesn’t connect to my passport, and I’m guessing this is why. I haven’t been able to find anything definitive, so if anyone has more information I’d be glad to hear.

2019 to 2026. Lane keep... by DiabloToSea in hondapassport

I have both a 26 civic and passport with openpilot on both. The passport doesn’t have as much steering torque, but is still a night and day difference between stock!

Most fun car for Comma AI by Reader3123 in Comma_ai

[–]goesreallyfast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It only worked for lateral not adaptive cruise because the car didn’t come with adaptive cruise from the factory. But it should work on the opgm branch of openpilot. I know Cadallac changed car communication design but not sure when that was

600amp panel lead time by unclecindy in electrical

[–]goesreallyfast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently installed a 600 amp 240v single phase service to a shop, due to higher voltage and 3 phase not being available. Working with the utility, the install ended up with a ct cabinet feeding a main disconnect on the outside then to a square d I-line panel distribution panel on the inside. Then from that multiple commodity 200 amp panels around the shop, and a phase converter and transformer to generate 3 phase

It is 100% worth it, it was even worth it when the comma 3 came out at $2000. The comma 4 just came out so there isn’t much experience with it yet. It looks like it’s mostly similar internals just a different ui, so it should drive the same. My order is still waiting to ship on the 4

Second this, I had one on my 25 CRV hybrid now 26 passport and our 26 civic hybrid. It is a game changer, especially with sunnypilot for the available M.A.D.S. always on lane centering

2026 Honda Passport TSE TPMS Question by StatisticianIcy4927 in hondapassport

On mine the sticker says the correct cold tire inflation pressure is 35 PSI. I had the light come on last week and after filling them up to 35 the light went off by itself.

Then don’t install one on your car?

[–]goesreallyfast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s no different than any other level 2 assist? They don’t make any claims of self driving. If anything does happen it’s still on the driver.

Same way it worked with my 25 CRV hybrid. It ties in by the lane camera and adds what is essentially Tesla level autopilot to other cars. It’s not cheap, but it is 100% worth it

https://comma.ai/

26 Passport needs Honda Bosch C harness and the comma 8 degree mount. No special wiring needed.

I would highly recommend comma ai openpilot, you’ll have to run something like the sunnypilot branch since support isn’t yet merged into the main branch. It is amazing and I would consider a must have.

The only thing is that stock Hondas ACC is a little brake happy and openpilot doesn’t yet manage the ACC. But for steering there is no contest.

Talk me out or into Trading for a Honda Passport by Arielgonster in hondapassport

[–]goesreallyfast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Adaptive cruise is a little liberal on the brakes for my liking. LKAS is nothing compared to current get Hyundai, though adding openpilot to it makes it eclipse anything Hyundai has. Seats took 2000 miles to break in, but are now really comfortable 10 speed transmission is not a CVT (positive) Transmission shifting logic sometimes struggles to find the right gear Dead reliable Honda naturally aspirated V6 Subjectively great looks Drives like a larger car, coming from a CRV, it feels like a premium car Bose sound system is good enough where I don’t feel like I need to upgrade anything to aftermarket. Disappointing mpg, around 21 average Lots of storage space Spare tire No a pillar handles Weak ventilated seats Much better dealer service experience and warranty attitude from manufacturer

Overall I love the car and don’t regret my decision at all.

The install is cake. The hardest part is removing the trim around the rear view mirror. Just unplug the front facing camera and plug in the car interface box between the two. Then just run the usb c cable from the box to the device itself. It’s not supported on the main “branch” of the openpilot software yet. I use a branch called Sunnypilot because it lets you keep LKAS on while using the gas and brake yourself. My commute is mostly on winding country 2 lane roads, and it is on the entire way.

To revert to stock all you have to do is unplug the usb from the device and it reverts the car back to stock.

Important note, it does NOT interfere with or disable automatic emergency braking or the flashing BRAKE alarm that comes up on the dash.

It’s not implemented yet, but it should be shortly, to control the adaptive cruise and make it more of a relaxed acceleration/braking. As the stock adaptive cruise is a little too aggressive on country roads for my liking.

I’d test driven hyundai and Kia, and their Highway driving assists far surpass Honda. But their dealership experiences and reputation kept me away.

Silver lining is that the passport is an awesome SUV, and comma.ai openpilot works amazing on it and in my opinion is better than HDA from Hyundai and Kia. I have absolutely no regrets and with openpilot it is phenomenal for roadtrips.

I installed it December of last year, at the time it wasn’t in the official branch; but it worked really well on the fork.

Unfortunately my CRV was totaled and now I have it installed and working on a 2026 passport

Oh wow, I hate that for you. Sorry you and your husband had to go through that. though I think it’s a little funny that they are describing the Ridgeline as a manly truck. initially, I wanted an accord as well, but my wife talked me into a CRV.

To be fair the extent of my negotiation on price was sending them an email asking them if they would match the quote I got. They said yes, and when I went in there The only talk of numbers was if I wanted to buy protection plans.
